Kokas.
Lineup:

As the teams spread out over the pitch, it became clear that they would both be using a 2-5-3 formation today. Grilled used their divine (+8) (28) ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the field. The visitors were very close to gaining the lead with a marvelous free kick after 15 minutes, but
Fritz Reigsecker made a beautiful one-handed save.
Moey Xin Seng let loose a good shot after 30 minutes, coming in on a fine move from the left, but the ball went wide. A mistake by the home side's central defense after 37 minutes allowed
Moey Xin Seng to score for Grilled. The visitors have the lead, 0 - 1. With the scoreboard showing that 39 minutes had been played, Grilled nearly put themselves up another goal after
Bernie Egan came through on the left. Fortunately for the home crowd, the keeper made the save. Big paper red cards were being held up by the opposing supporters with 40 minutes on the clock after
Mátyás Kokas's mistimed tackle from behind. The referee only showed the Odessa player a yellow card though. It was 0 - 1 at the break. Grilled set the tempo, maintaining 60 percent of possession.
The visitors nearly scored again after 49 minutes, but a superb save by
Fritz Reigsecker kept
Bhavya Panigrahi's free kick out of the net. After more pushing and shoving than a pack of helicopter moms trying to get the last appointment for their snowflakes to see the Easter Bunny, Odessa's
Ejnar Juul finally got himself booked for a foul. As the 60 minute mark approached, the Grilled manager decided it was time for a substitution.
Teo Chuan Yong reluctantly made way for
吴 (Wu) 敬龙 (Jinglong). 60 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game.
Kalle ter Berg gave
Chu Xin Lee a quick hug as he left the field. After 67 minutes, Grilled raised their score by one when
吴 (Wu) 敬龙 (Jinglong)'s dangerous low cross was cleverly tucked in at the near post by
Bilal Mohammad Harun. 0 - 2. Grilled were determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up coming through the center. Grilled's
Heng Dong Chu received a ball slotted perfectly through the home side's central defense after 71 minutes, and chipped it past the helpless keeper to increase the lead to 0 - 3. The away fans won't regret traveling for this one! Always quick and a menace to his opponents,
吴 (Wu) 敬龙 (Jinglong) got through after 73 minutes, but the keeper deflected his shot and a defender took care of the rebound. After 75 minutes, the Odessa coach wanted to see a new face on the field, waving
Diego De Ciantis off.
Dariusz Kumorowski took his place. Maybe it was because of his team's lead, or maybe it was due to the ease with which he broke down the left, but
Chan Ze Han was a bit too sure of his talents, so instead of taking the easy tap-in goal after 78 minutes, he went for the backheel, which he put woefully wide. Grilled's
Bhavya Panigrahi missed a penalty 80 minutes into the match. He swung his leg too early, producing a weak shot that the keeper could collect at his own leisure. Central attacks were the recipe of the day for Grilled, and they were successfully passing the ball from the wing into the middle at the behest of their coach. The visitors'
Vikram Mudaliar took advantage of a mix-up between the home side's goalie and center backs 82 minutes into the match. 0 - 4 for Grilled. With the clock showing 85 minutes, the fourth official held up the substitution board.
Ciro Fusaro looked to see that it was his number in red, so he made his way over to the sideline and swapped out for
Kılıçarslan Üyüm, though he would have liked to continue. As the game started to slip away for Odessa, the manager decided to change the tactical approach. 89 minutes into the match, the referee signaled for a Odessa substitution.
Natale Cecinato came on for
Mátyás Kokas. The players were tired, but when the referee announced that there would be 2 minutes of added time, they welcomed the extra opportunity to make an impact. The match ends 0 - 4. Well, look at this! Cardi B is on the Enormotron in naught but giant sunglasses, red tassles, and a Holy Hand Grenades of Antioch tank top. I've not seen anything like it before. Odessa's top performer was clearly
Ejnar Juul. Even six year old fans were wincing at the poor play by
Myron Derzhko today. Most important Grilled player was
Chan Ze Han. I can't remember
Bhavya Panigrahi ever having a worse night than he just had.
