Against a lesser team, Grilled could very well have succeeded with their smart indirect free kick routine after 20 minutes. A trio of passes took the ball all the way past the defenders, but by then the intended recipient was already blocked off and the keeper could make a leisurely save. Manchester caught their opponents out with a clever counterattack down the right wing 21 minutes into the match. Paweł Święcicki was able to finish off the move - 1 - 2. Grilled had a magnificent opportunity after 23 minutes as Moey Xin Seng hit the ball hard from the edge of the penalty box. However, the shot went wide. Grilled came close to extending their lead as Bilal Mohammad Harun delivered a low effort on goal from the right after 26 minutes, but the angle was too narrow and the shot went harmlessly into the side netting. It was 1 - 2 at the break. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 74 percent of the ball.

Manchester's Radim Chvátal was dominating his wing and kept sending fine balls into the opposition's box - Horst Friedrich Dalen managed to volley one of them into the net to make it 2 - 2 after 47 minutes. 2 - 3 was the score with 51 minutes played, after Moey Xin Seng cut through the central defence and chipped home a goal for Grilled. Radim Chvátal of Manchester was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. Always quick and a menace to his opponents, Vikram Mudaliar was very close to getting through after 53 minutes, but he could only put the ball into the keeper's arms. Chu Xin Lee was, after 55 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper Man-Shik So made the save. Chan Ze Han received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 57 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 2 - 4. The Grilled fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. As the 89 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution. Kalki Parvathaneni reluctantly made way for Heng Dong Chu on the pitch. As the match nears its end, the referee has deemed it appropriate to add 3 minutes as stoppage time. Manchester's fans were urging them forward as they tried to get back into the game, and their vocal support was rewarded 90 minutes into the match as Lucio Reascos ran onto a beautiful ball played through the visitors' defence and slotted it past the keeper to reduce the deficit. 3 - 4.
