Grilled Birds entered the field in a 2-5-3 formation. The visitors, -= Manchester United =-, chose to start the game with a 5-3-2 lineup. Grilled tried to focus their attacks down the middle, taking advantage of their divine (+7) (27) level with that tactic. Manchester clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could, taking advantage of their divine (20) level with that tactic. Making his way up the middle 6 minutes into the match,
Moey Xin Seng almost managed to squeeze a goal past the visitors' keeper, but the alert
Man-Shik So blocked it to keep the score level. Manchester's counterattacks were lethal to the opposing defence, allowing
Horst Friedrich Dalen to score easily from the right flank for 0 - 1. Grilled had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks. Some fine passing in the middle of the pitch, carving open the away defence, should have led to a goal for Grilled, but
Vikram Mudaliar's shot went over the bar. Manchester's
Jean-Marie Wilhelmus was shown a yellow card after 23 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
After 28 minutes of play, Manchester's
Lucio Reascos unexpectedly struck an inside out ball from no angle at all and
Paweł Święcicki slotted it into the net for 0 - 2. The coach of Manchester was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 28 minutes,
Dejan Skrt came on for
Paweł Święcicki. Grilled's
Chan Ze Han excelled in some fine tricks that completely confused
Tjaard Davidse - and the finish was no less spectacular - 1 - 2!
Gilbert Webb made a superb strike after 32 minutes with a shot straight in front of the goal after a long ball through the middle, but one of the visitors' defenders got a foot in at the last second and warded it off for a corner. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents,
Vikram Mudaliar got himself booked. The manager of Grilled was not happy. The counterattack by Manchester resulted in a free kick that
Radim Chvátal bent under the crossbar - 1 - 3! The situation leading to Grilled's penalty 37 minutes into the match will be much debated after the game ends, but the competent
Mateja Jeftić didn't hesitate to make the score 2 - 3. Grilled's
Kalle ter Berg put his head to a well placed ball, lifted in from the left, and scored to make the score 3 - 3 with 42 minutes showing on the scoreboard clock. 3 - 3 was the score after the first half. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 72 percent.
Grilled took the lead 53 minutes into the game by 4 - 3, as
Chan Ze Han elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar.
Bilal Mohammad Harun went down after twisting his right ankle after 64 minutes, and had to leave the pitch.
吴 (Wu) 敬龙 (Jinglong) tried to hide a smile as he entered the field. He had not expected to get a chance this day.
Vikram Mudaliar fired a shot from distance after 65 minutes, but the long shot couldn't find the net for Grilled. After 66 minutes, Manchester surprised their opponents with a breakaway counter attack. The defenders had to resort to a foul to stop it. The free kick that followed was a clever indirect effort that almost succeeded, but the defence read the situation well and the intended recipient was left ruing what might have been.
Sim Chin Chi would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise.
Jahid Abdul Rahman entered the game for Manchester as the match clock showed 70 minutes. 70 minutes into the game, Manchester wanted to bring some new energy to their game.
Horst Friedrich Dalen gave
Viktor Saunov a quick hug as he left the field. It was announced by the referee that he estimated stoppage time to be around 3 minutes. This meant there could still be an extra attack or two left in the match! Grilled put in a good effort on the right, but
Salah Kamel saw his volley fly wide of the mark 90 minutes into the game.
Viktor Saunov was in the clear after breaking the offside trap following a Manchester counterattack from the left after 91 minutes. His neat finish made the score 4 - 4. The match ends 4 - 4. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 68 percent of the time.
Grilled's top performer was clearly
Chan Ze Han. On the other hand,
Bernie Egan's play was disheartening. Manchester's best player was
Dejan Skrt.
Rawrawa Rojas on the other hand, had a terrible day.
