Tecos's Sitanshu Pawar was shown a yellow card after 16 minutes for slicing down an opponent. The visitors' Chan Ze Han took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 23 minutes into the match. 0 - 3 for Grilled. The home crowd was given a certain amount of consolation when Chris Kuang scored after a brilliant midfield combination through the centre, reducing the lead to 1 - 3. 38 minutes into the match, Gilbert Webb came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. 1 - 3 was the score after the first half. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 58 percent.

With 49 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed Moey Xin Seng of Grilled to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 1 - 4. The home crowd was not impressed when Chan Ze Han came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 50 minutes. Grilled were now up 1 - 5. That made three goals for Chan Ze Han and he was marked down for the hat trick. Grilled were determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up centrally. After 56 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave Vikram Mudaliar a chance to increase the lead for Grilled, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 1 - 6. 89 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Grilled substitution. 吴 (Wu) 敬龙 (Jinglong) came on for Kalle ter Berg. Bernie Egan would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. Chu Xin Lee entered the game for Grilled as the match clock showed 89 minutes. As the match nears its end, the referee has deemed it appropriate to add 3 minutes as stoppage time. Tecos had a good opportunity to attack in the middle, but remembered their instructions to focus on wing attacks instead. A misunderstanding between the visitors' keeper Jānis Salmiņš and his left defence could have resulted in a goal for Tecos, but Ilham Abd Rahim Kamarul Azhar's finish was way too lame. Most important Tecos player was Andreas Bülles. Gábor Balog turned in a dismal performance, however. Grilled's best player was Chan Ze Han. Chu Xin Lee on the other hand, had a terrible day.
