Grilled 5 - 1 Deinos

Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 65123 to The Cooking Pot. Reinhard Tributsch was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Renato Wipfli and António Soares. Grilled fielded: Salmiņš - Webb, Jeftić - 敬龙 (Jinglong), Kamel, Mohammad Harun, ter Berg, Parvathaneni - Ze Han, Mudaliar, Xin Seng.

Deinos's lineup was: Răducu - Ridwan, Sada - Schlattmeier, Long Hock, Eng Dong, Abd El Khalek, Chiu - Salvans, Tarkowski, Mana.

As the teams spread out over the pitch, it became clear that they would both be using a 2-5-3 formation today. Grilled tried to focus their attacks down the middle, taking advantage of their divine (+8) (28) level with that tactic. Deinos mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle, taking advantage of their divine (+10) (30) level with that tactic. The visitors' central defence should have had no trouble clearing the pass to Moey Xin Seng, but the Grilled player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 1 - 0! Nawaf Sada finished off a quick charge from the left of the field by chipping the ball just past the home side's keeper, making the score 1 - 1 12 minutes into the match. 23 into the match, Grilled's Mateja Jeftić fell flat on his chest. After a breather, he was ready to continue. 吴 (Wu) 敬龙 (Jinglong) made a nice dash down the wing after 24 minutes, but was unable to get the cross into the box. A goal kick was awarded. Moey Xin Seng caused the crowd to go mental with his goal up the middle after 32 minutes. This gave Grilled the 2 - 1 lead. It was 2 - 1 at the break. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 57 percent of possession.

The score became 3 - 1 at 47 minutes into the game, when Grilled were given a penalty which Mateja Jeftić blasted straight down the middle giving the keeper no chance! 69 minutes into the game, Chew Long Hock broke up a promising Grilled attack single-handedly, using just the right amount of physical pressure on the ball holder. 72 minutes in, Grilled's Kalle ter Berg received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Gilbert Webb increased the lead for Grilled to 4 - 1, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it! Bilal Mohammad Harun would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. Chu Xin Lee entered the game for Grilled as the match clock showed 89 minutes. As the 89 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution. Mateja Jeftić reluctantly made way for Bhavya Panigrahi on the pitch. With Mateja Jeftić no longer on the pitch, Bhavya Panigrahi became the new set pieces taker. As the match nears its end, the referee has deemed it appropriate to add 3 minutes as stoppage time. Grilled put themselves up 5 - 1 when Chan Ze Han broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. The match ends 5 - 1. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 56 percent of the ball.

The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt Chan Ze Han. Bhavya Panigrahi turned in a dismal performance, however. Deinos's top performer was clearly Ivo Mana. On the other hand, Randolph Chiu's play was disheartening.
