Pielewiepers's Harmen-Jan van Huut put his head on a fantastic ball lifted in from the left, and scored after 6 minutes to bring the teams level - 1 - 1. With 20 minutes played, Grilled's Moey Xin Seng received a yellow card for challenging a play with his cleats first. The visiting Bernie Egan was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 24 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 1 - 2 was the score. Pielewiepers caught their opponents out with a clever counter-attack down the right wing 39 minutes into the game. Dylan 'Lionheart' Leeuwerik was there to finish off the move - 2 - 2! Grilled took the lead 40 minutes into the game, making the score 2 - 3 after some elegant movement down the middle. Vikram Mudaliar was the scorer. 2 - 3 was the halftime score. Grilled had the upper hand in possession, maintaining an impressive 59 percent possession of the ball.

The visitors' Bernie Egan took advantage of a mix-up between the home side's goalie and center backs 53 minutes into the match. 2 - 4 for Grilled. That was his third goal of the match - a hattrick for Bernie Egan! That's the name of the game! It was almost a goal for Grilled following Bilal Mohammad Harun's good header from a corner kick, but the fans will have to wait a little longer as the ball went wide. After 63 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defense allowed Chu Xin Lee to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 2 - 5. After 70 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the field, waving Bhavya Panigrahi off. Gilbert Webb took his place. Central attacks were the recipe of the day for Grilled, and they were successfully passing the ball from the wing into the middle at the behest of their coach. With 75 minutes played, Chu Xin Lee nearly put the visitors up by one more as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot whizzed just over the bar.
