FKTK 0 - 3 Grilled
The fans braved the pouring rain at the stadium today. For strong, physical players the heavy rain was easy to overcome, it was even an advantage given their style of play. Others, such as the quick or technical ones, made bleaker appearances. Starters:

FK Torlak Kumodraž trundled out to the pitch in a 3-5-2 formation. The visitors, Grilled Birds, chose to start the game with a 2-5-3 lineup. Grilled went for a narrow approach, using their divine (+7) (27) ability to focus their attacks down the middle. After a fine move down the middle
Josh Waaka nearly put the home side one up with 34 minutes played. His final touch escaped him though and the keeper smothered the ball.
Mihai Sotir could have put FKTK into the lead with 35 minutes played, but the free kick went just wide. Central attacks were the recipe of the day for Grilled, and they were successfully passing the ball from the wing into the middle at the behest of their coach. Grilled took the lead 38 minutes into the game, making the score 0 - 1 after some elegant movement down the middle.
Moey Xin Seng was the scorer. Halftime score was 0 - 1. Well, look at this! Cardi B is on the Enormotron in naught but giant sunglasses, red tassles, and a Holy Hand Grenades of Antioch tank top. I've not seen anything like it before. With the clock showing 46 minutes, the fourth official held up the substitution board.
Moey Xin Seng looked to see that it was his number in red, so he made his way over to the sideline and swapped out for
Bernie Egan, though he would have liked to continue. As the captain was no longer on the field,
Chan Ze Han took over the role for Grilled. Grilled players heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their wing attacks to the middle instead. The ball was in the back of the home team's net yet again after 49 minutes, but this time the referee called the goal back because
Chu Xin Lee had knocked a member of the opposing team to the ground while the play occurred down the middle of the field. After 60 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the field, waving
吴 (Wu) 敬龙 (Jinglong) off.
Cyril Künzler took his place. As
吴 (Wu) 敬龙 (Jinglong) left the field, the coach signaled to
Cyril Künzler to be the new set pieces taker. 60 minutes into the match, the referee signaled for a Grilled substitution.
Neeraj Muthyala came on for
Kalle ter Berg. After 67 minutes
Cyril Künzler made a speedy advance and dropped the ball to
Bernie Egan who blasted it past the keeper. The score was now 0 - 2. Grilled came close to extending their lead as
Cyril Künzler delivered a low effort on goal from the right but the angle was too sharp, and the shot was destined for the side netting. Grilled's
Salah Kamel received a ball slotted perfectly through the home side's central defense after 75 minutes, and chipped it past the helpless keeper to increase the lead to 0 - 3. The away fans won't regret traveling for this one!
Ally Chappell did everything he could to get one back for the home crowd, but keeper
Massoud Dob denied him with a spectacular save. The home side worked their way through the middle and almost got one back when
Ally Chappell tried to sneak the ball past the keeper. However,
Massoud Dob was too alert for that! The match ends 0 - 3. Grilled had the upper hand in possession, maintaining an impressive 54 percent possession of the ball.
The most outstanding FKTK player was without a doubt
关 (Guan) 晋 (Jin). Even six year old fans were wincing at the poor play by
Gonzalo Trevilla today. Most important Grilled player was
Vikram Mudaliar. I can't remember
Gilbert Webb ever having a worse night than he just had.
