Grilled 3 - 1 The

62890 spectators arrived at The Cooking Pot, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. Milton Pettersson was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Mousa Rahman Abeedat and Martin Mensing. Grilled fielded: Dob - Jeftić, Panigrahi - 敬龙 (Jinglong), Muthyala, Mohammad Harun, ter Berg, Parvathaneni - Mudaliar, Ze Han, Xin Seng.

The following players had been chosen by The: Younes - Gemer, Fiorilli, Smalbil - Hatoum, Cheng Lai, Puay Leng, Nakamura, Benko - Amanajás, Ševeček.

The teams had chosen different formations for the match. Home team Grilled Birds went for 2-5-3 while The EV has decided to play a 3-5-2 lineup. Grilled tried to focus their attacks down the middle, taking advantage of their divine (+7) (27) level with that tactic. Grilled made it 1 - 0 as Kalle ter Berg got a touch to the floated corner kick and flicked the ball to Vikram Mudaliar who whipped a low drive in off the far post. Grilled's Neeraj Muthyala increased the lead to 2 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 14 minutes. Coming from the right, Chan Ze Han almost managed to score another goal for Grilled, but his header was tipped over the bar by the visitors' keeper. Following a nasty collision in the 33, Grilled's Moey Xin Seng complained of a damaged shoulder. He was advised against continuing the game. This gave Bernie Egan a chance to take to the field instead. Chan Ze Han was handed the Grilled captain's armband. Chan Ze Han had a fantastic opportunity to put Grilled up another goal 39 minutes into the match after a pass through the middle set him free, but he fired just over the crossbar. The home side's Bernie Egan came close to extending the lead 40 minutes into the game. His shot came in from the right hand side but Rizvi Younes managed to save it with an unbelievable reaction stop. 42 minutes in, The's Giovanni Fiorilli received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Bernie Egan was unable to continue, as he once again hurt that bad right knee of his. He left the field in frustration in minute 42. Chu Xin Lee tried to hide a smile as he entered the field. He had not expected to get a chance this day. 2 - 0 was the score after the first half. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 56 percent of the ball.

Grilled had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks. Bilal Mohammad Harun could have increased the lead after 49 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave Kalle ter Berg from Grilled a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 50 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Chan Ze Han should probably have put his team up another goal after 59 minutes after breaking through the middle, but some great goalkeeping by Rizvi Younes kept the visitors in the game. Mateja Jeftić would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. Gilbert Webb entered the game for Grilled as the match clock showed 60 minutes. As Mateja Jeftić exited the field, Bhavya Panigrahi volunteered to be the new set pieces taker. Kalle ter Berg knew he was in trouble after hacking down an opponent. Despite his pleading with the referee, the Grilled player was shown a second yellow card and dismissed from the game. Yeoh Cheng Lai's speed was clear to see after 63 minutes, as he darted down the wing and released Zbyněk Ševeček who placed the ball into the back of the net to make the score 2 - 1. After 79 minutes, Chan Ze Han put Grilled ahead 3 - 1 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. The kept trying to force their way through on the right side and Barry Nakamura got his chance after 80 minutes, but the home side's defence held their position and stopped the attack. After 86 minutes, Giovanni Fiorilli came close to reducing the score with a free kick aimed near the left post, but Massoud Dob warded the ball off to a corner. The referee announced 3 minutes of stoppage time, giving fans a slim hope that their team could get one more attack in before this was all over. The match ends 3 - 1. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 52 percent of possession.

The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt Chu Xin Lee. Kalki Parvathaneni on the other hand, had a terrible day. The's top performer was clearly Zbyněk Ševeček. However, Lars Smalbil made a disastrous appearance.
