With their counter attack move halted 13 minutes into the game, Haha were left with a free kick. 70 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game. Moey Xin Seng gave Kalle ter Berg a quick hug as he left the field. As the captain was no longer on the pitch, Chan Ze Han took over the role of being the Grilled captain. Bhavya Panigrahi came close to putting the visiting team one up 72 minutes into the match, following a solo raid down the middle, but Carlos Andino managed to tip the ball to a corner. A sublimely cunning counterattack by Haha resulted in the awarding of a free kick that Nasrul Haq Khairil Syahmi brutally hammered, twisting it mid-flight past the flailing hands of the keeper and into the net - 2 - 1! As the 74 minute mark approached, the Haha coach decided it was time for a substitution. Isaac An reluctantly made way for Cory Trang on the pitch. Mateja Jeftić made a run for the goal 74 minutes into the game but the home team's left back managed to sort the situation out in the end. Central attacks were the recipe of the day for Grilled, as they moved the ball from the wings to the middle with startling regularity. Coming through the middle Chu Xin Lee almost scored the equaliser for Grilled after 83 minutes, but Carlos Andino made an excellent save, tipping the awkward curled shot past the post. Chu Xin Lee would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. Cyril Künzler entered the game for Grilled as the match clock showed 89 minutes. The referee announced 3 minutes of stoppage time, giving fans a slim hope that their team could get one more attack in before this was all over. The match ends 3 - 2. Grilled had most of the ball, with 83 percent of possession.

Most important Haha player was Ursin de Rougemont. Vishvesharaiyah Gudivada turned in a dismal performance, however. Grilled's top performer was clearly Vikram Mudaliar. However, Bhavya Panigrahi made a disastrous appearance.
