Grilled Birds fielded a 2-5-3 lineup. For Bot Team FC, the formation of choice was 3-5-2. Grilled tried to focus their attacks down the middle, taking advantage of their divine (+6) (26) level with that tactic. 14 minutes into the match, Bot nearly took the lead, as Kwek Puay Lai broke through on the right. Massoud Dob made the save, however. A slight injury to his left calf muscle meant Neeraj Muthyala had to leave the match early. It happened after 17 minutes. This gave Chu Xin Lee a chance to take to the field instead. Bahri Han made one of his many fine passes from the wing into the middle 24 minutes into the match. Paride Bolognini bravely attempted to execute a diving header and the ball was met firmly with his forehead for Bot. 0 - 1. The crowd roared in delight as Vikram Mudaliar finished off a spectacular series of passes through the middle to even the score for Grilled 31 minutes into the match. 1 - 1. Bot's Fabio Trasferti could have put the guests one up after 32 minutes after chasing a through ball from the right, but Massoud Dob was as fast as a snake, grabbing the ball from under his nose. Making his way up the middle 35 minutes into the match, Chan Ze Han almost managed to squeeze a goal past the visitors' keeper, but the alert Nicolas Jardin blocked it to keep the score level. Halftime score was 1 - 1. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 53 percent of the ball.

As the 46 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution. 吴 (Wu) 敬龙 (Jinglong) reluctantly made way for Heng Dong Chu on the pitch. Grilled fans held their breath as Kalle ter Berg scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the shot for 2 - 1! Grilled's Gilbert Webb increased the lead to 3 - 1, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 54 minutes. Massoud Dob made a brilliant save 66 minutes into the match, blocking a rocket of a shot from Paride Bolognini on the right hand side. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Grilled's Kalle ter Berg increasing the lead to 4 - 1. Cheers filled the stadium as Moey Xin Seng broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 5 - 1 to Grilled. As the match nears its end, the referee has deemed it appropriate to add 2 minutes as stoppage time. The match ends 5 - 1. Grilled had most of the ball, with 54 percent of possession.

Grilled's top performer was clearly Moey Xin Seng. Gilbert Webb turned in a dismal performance, however. Carl Pelowski performed admirably for Bot. However, Fabio Trasferti made a disastrous appearance.
