Kamel,
Xin Lee -
Parvathaneni,

They fielded:

Hake,
Fadiga,
Woodham,
Luibl,
Heitmann -
Granderson,
Wuidar,
Krummensee.
A 2-5-3 was the choice of the day for both coaches. Grilled mostly ignored the flanks in favor of their divine (+8) (28) ability to attack in the middle. Herculoids clearly preferred using their divine (+4) (24) ability to attack in the middle today. It was obvious that Grilled had instructions to attack in the middle when they directed a break on the wing into the center of the park.
Vikram Mudaliar's name was chanted throughout the stadium after his goal in minute 20 following a run up the middle gave Grilled the 1 - 0 lead. Cheers filled the stadium as
Moey Xin Seng broke through the visitors' central defense to put away the 2 - 0 goal for Grilled.
Aaron Granderson seemed to be defying gravity as he elegantly headed in a goal for Herculoids after a corner kick that was nicely executed by
Chase Woodham. That makes it 2 - 1. Grilled solidified their lead at the 41 minute mark, as
Chan Ze Han snaked the ball through the central line of defense and finished for 3 - 1.
Vikram Mudaliar let loose a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide. The cannonball from 35 yards by
Chu Xin Lee of Grilled was an impressive attempt, but didn't make it into the net. 3 - 1 was the halftime score. Grilled set the tempo, maintaining 56 percent of possession.
After 62 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by
Kalle ter Berg might have resulted in another goal for Grilled. However,
Teodoro Galindo made a spectacular save.
Kalle ter Berg was the first to reach the corner kick, but his header was blocked by the keeper. However, Grilled's
Kalki Parvathaneni managed to get ahold of the rebound and scored to make it 4 - 1. Big paper red cards were being held up by the opposing supporters with 66 minutes on the clock after
Wolf Luibl's mistimed tackle from behind. The referee only showed the Herculoids player a yellow card though. 67 minutes had passed when Grilled put themselves up 5 - 1 after the visiting defenders lost the ball to
Moey Xin Seng, who came up from the left and proceeded to easily go around the goalkeeper and knock the ball home. After 70 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the field, waving
Bhavya Panigrahi off.
Gilbert Webb took his place. Grilled added another goal to their lead as
Kalle ter Berg struck home for 6 - 1 after an attack from the left set him up unmarked in front of the keeper. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Grilled's
Kalki Parvathaneni bringing the lead up to 7 - 1. The players were tired, but when the referee announced that there would be 3 minutes of added time, they welcomed the extra opportunity to make an impact. The match ends 7 - 1. Grilled had the upper hand in possession, maintaining an impressive 56 percent possession of the ball.
Kalki Parvathaneni performed admirably for Grilled. I can't remember
Chu Xin Lee ever having a worse night than he just had. The most outstanding Herculoids player was without a doubt
Chase Woodham. Good thing
Monte Hake isn't a horse, because he'd surely be sent to the glue factory after that performance.
