The coaches were in sync today, as both teams lined up in a 2-5-3 formation. 14 minutes into the match, Grilled's
Kalki Parvathaneni demonstrated his running prowess as he raced past his defender and passed the ball to
Bernie Egan who chipped it in for 0 - 1. After 15 minutes of play,
Éric Marty evened things up for Tcheu with an impressive goal coming up the middle. 1 - 1.
Kalle ter Berg let loose a good shot after 19 minutes, coming in on a fine move from the left, but the ball went wide. Tcheu's
Benzi Baruch soared above the crowd, but couldn't knock home the corner 23 minutes into the match. After 25 minutes, Grilled's
Bernie Egan made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 1 - 2. Grilled's
Bhavya Panigrahi was shown a yellow card after 31 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
32 minutes into the match, Tcheu's
Răzvan Pâslaru maneuvered his way around the opposition on the left flank, delighting the crowd with his twists and turns. The effort paid off as the ball found the back of the net, evening the score at 2 - 2. Grilled's
Kalle ter Berg was dominating his wing and kept sending fine balls into the opposing area -
Moey Xin Seng managed to kick one of them into the net for 2 - 3 after 35 minutes. Grilled came close to extending their lead as
Moey Xin Seng delivered a low effort on goal from the right but the angle was too sharp, and the shot was destined for the side netting. The crowd was on its feet at the 41 minute mark, as Tcheu's
Benzi Baruch found himself all alone in front of the goal after a dash up the left side. He calmly put away the 3 - 3 equalizer. 3 - 3 was the score after the first half. Grilled did a good job holding on to the ball, with 58 percent of possession. We'll be back after these interminable commercial messages.
As the 46 minute mark approached, the Grilled manager decided it was time for a substitution.
Neeraj Muthyala reluctantly made way for
Bilal Mohammad Harun. Grilled took the lead after 52 minutes making the score 3 - 4. The keeper had no chance on
Kalle ter Berg's fine volley fromleft of the net after a cross from the right.
Moey Xin Seng was, after 60 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the center, but the home side's keeper
Israel Moffett made the save.
Yiannis Kalogeros charged down the left and had a wonderful opportunity to score the equalizer for Tcheu, but the shot went well wide of the goal. After 70 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the field, waving
Chu Xin Lee off.
吴 (Wu) 敬龙 (Jinglong) took his place. 77 minutes into the game,
Éric Marty came close to leveling the score with a dangerous shot from the center of the area that went just over the bar. After 79 minutes of game time,
Moey Xin Seng had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, hitting a cross from the right with a half volley, but
Israel Moffett was in the right place and tipped the ball to a corner. The players were tired, but when the referee announced that there would be 3 minutes of added time, they welcomed the extra opportunity to make an impact. The match ends 3 - 4. Grilled set the tempo, maintaining 57 percent of possession.
Oscar Eduardo Duque performed admirably for Tcheu. Speaking of stinking up the place,
Éric Marty sure smelled like the bottom of Batman's shoe after a night of crimefighting in Gotham. Grilled's top performer was clearly
Moey Xin Seng. You can tell it was nickel beer night yesterday at the local bar because
Kalle ter Berg seemed to stumble all over the pitch.
