With a shot lofted in from just outside the penalty area 15 minutes in, Edgar Lora of Retro evened the score to 1 - 1. Grilled had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle instead. The visiting Kalle ter Berg was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 16 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 1 - 2 was the score. Retro's Gareth 'Bullet' Hallam put his head on a fantastic ball lifted in from the left, and scored after 17 minutes to bring the teams level - 2 - 2. The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 2. Grilled had the upper hand in possession, maintaining an impressive 56 percent possession of the ball.

After 46 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the field, waving Gilbert Webb off. Mateja Jeftić took his place. 46 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game. Neeraj Muthyala gave 吴 (Wu) 敬龙 (Jinglong) a quick hug as he left the field. Oh dear - the keeper's made a mess of that one. The crowd was very disappointed after he let Chu Xin Lee get the go-ahead goal with a speculative shot from the right after 58 minutes. 2 - 3. Retro needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 58 minutes Tommy 'The Tank' Radley made way for Ephrem Koko. After 59 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for 吴 (Wu) 敬龙 (Jinglong) who increased Grilled's lead to 2 - 4. The ball was in the back of the home team's net yet again after 64 minutes, but this time the referee called the goal back because Bernie Egan had knocked a member of the opposing team to the ground while the play occurred down the middle of the field. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Retro's Rudolf 'The Reindeer' Hänsch was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the field after 65 minutes. Neil 'Neil' Neil was given a chance to change things around. Retro reduced the lead to 3 - 4 after 68 minutes when Ephrem Koko got the best of a lazy ball floated in from the left side. After 72 minutes of game time, Kalle ter Berg had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, hitting a cross from the right with a half volley, but Shaqir 'Big Shaq' Qipo was in the right place and tipped the ball to a corner. After 74 minutes, Grilled's lack of experience resulted in the team's loss of their edge at the end of the game. As the match nears its end, the referee deemed it appropriate to add 1 minutes as stoppage time. The match ends 3 - 4. Grilled set the tempo, maintaining 54 percent of possession.

Retro's best player was Gareth 'Bullet' Hallam. I can't remember Ismaïla 'Black Panther' Cissoko ever having a worse night than he just had. Most important Grilled player was Moey Xin Seng. Speaking of stinking up the place, Chu Xin Lee sure smelled like the bottom of Batman's shoe after a night of crimefighting in Gotham.
