Kalki Parvathaneni's long shot really ought to have found the net for Grilled after 30 minutes, but it fell just wide of the target. With 32 minutes played, Hérisson's Charles Lantz received a yellow card for challenging a play with his cleats first. Grilled had a good opportunity to take the lead as Kalle ter Berg came up the left side, but he struck the ball weakly and it went straight into the arms of Fabrice Cherrier. Thomas Bally caused panic among his colleagues with some mad dribbles inside his own penalty box, but Grilled's 吴 (Wu) 敬龙 (Jinglong) put his shot just wide. After 36 minutes of play, 吴 (Wu) 敬龙 (Jinglong) gave the home team a 1 - 0 lead after an attack coming in from the right. 38 minutes into the game, Hérisson had difficulty finding their positions and their organization dropped to inadequate (5). Bhavya Panigrahi could have put Grilled up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 39 minutes. It was 1 - 0 at the break. Looks like Nate Silver was right again - his prediction that Grilled would have 65 percent possession in this half was spot on!

During the break, Hérisson's coach went through the team's tactics yet again, getting them up to solid (7) organization. The visitors almost came back with an equalizer 48 minutes into the match after a good combination down the middle, but Nathanaël Roblot didn't get enough power behind the attempted finish to seriously challenge the keeper. With 49 minutes played, Salah Kamel knocked one home from a counter-attack down the right wing, making the score 2 - 0. Moey Xin Seng will have Excedrin Headache number 5 after heading home the hard corner kick from Mateja Jeftić after 49 minutes of play. I'm sure that making the score 3 - 0 will assuage him a bit, though. The home crowd just couldn't believe it when Mateja Jeftić missed a penalty with 58 minutes of the match played. Grilled's Moey Xin Seng swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defense were able to clear the ball. Cheers filled the stadium as Chu Xin Lee broke through the visitors' central defense to put away the 4 - 0 goal for Grilled. Fabrice Cherrier was caught napping as Mateja Jeftić lifted a ball over him following a free kick, but the ball hit the bar, rebounding into the keeper's arms. 70 minutes into the match, the referee signaled for a Grilled substitution. Gilbert Webb came on for Bhavya Panigrahi. After 80 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the field, waving 吴 (Wu) 敬龙 (Jinglong) off. Heng Dong Chu took his place. The referee decided to let play continue for an additional 1 beyond the regular 90 minutes. Morale on the visitors' bench was greatly improved when their player Stéphane Poirot scored to make it 4 - 1 after 89 minutes, following a good pass from the right. The match ends 4 - 1.
