FC TA 0 - 1 Grilled

It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 5725 that came out to Krogoth's Battlegrounds. Hákun Sigurheim was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Martino Alini and Robin Snape. For some players the sunny weather was bad news. It made Powerful and Quick players a bit sluggish. For Technical players, it was instead an advantage, allowing them to shine on the pitch. The following players took the field for FC TA: Sepp - Lepp, Toomel, Lill, Raun, Lukk - Aavasalu, Shusharin, Popko, Makukha, Pärn -.

Grilled's lineup was: Vara - Jeftić, 中北 (Nakakita), Panigrahi - Mottl, Thevar, Xin Seng, Jaška, Dong Chu - Velho, Jian Hui.

FC Total Annihilation started the game in a 5-5-0 formation, whereas Grilled Birds lined up in a 3-5-2 formation. The strategy for FC TA was to use their inadequate ability to press. Vyacheslav Shusharin was unable to continue, following a severe injury to his right knee, 6 minutes into the match. Arto Lukk had already been warming up, and came on for Vyacheslav Shusharin. With the clock showing 10 minutes played, a great pass from the defensive line of Grilled resulted in a counterattack that was smoothly brought under control by Heng Dong Chu in the centre of the opposition's penalty area, but his finish went high. Margus Lukk of FC TA received a yellow card after 12 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Cornered close to the sidelines, Hendrik Toomel managed to wiggle his way past his marker, and then placed it perfectly in the channel for a break-away. Coming in from the right, FC TA had a good opportunity to convert on a counterattack after 22 minutes, but Margus Lukk's attempt to finish was easily stopped. 25 minutes into the game, Grilled seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to solid. The pressing tactics used by FC TA were successful as the ball remained close to the half way line at all times. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 0. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 58 percent.

During the break, Grilled's coach went through the team's tactics yet again, getting them up to solid organisation. After 46 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving 悠太 (Yuta) 中北 (Nakakita) off the field. Mohd Jafni Abdul Majid took his place. With 48 minutes gone, Emil Lepp suddenly found himself completely free on the right wing when a counterattack by FC TA caught their opponents by surprise. Only a great save by the opposing keeper prevented him from scoring. FC TA's Peeter Raun placed the ball right at his teammate's feet after a corner, but Garri Pärn couldn't finish. 78 minutes in, Grilled appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only weak. Prokop Mottl would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. 洸平 (Kohei) 奥谷 (Okuya) entered the game for Grilled as the match clock showed 89 minutes. As the 89 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution. José Luiz Velho reluctantly made way for Dante Tran on the pitch. It was announced by the referee that he estimated stoppage time to be around 1 minute. This meant there could still be an extra attack or two left in the match! As neither team had managed to win, extra time was called. Grilled had most of the ball, with 57 percent of possession.

After 91 minutes, the FC TA manager redeployed his men. Emil Lepp swapped positions with Kaupo Aavasalu. After 91 minutes, the FC TA coach made a sign to Alan Lill, who soon changed positions with Bronislav Popko. Peeter Raun got new instructions from the FC TA coach after 91 minutes. He changed positions with Grigoriy Makukha soon after. As the clock reached 91 minutes, FC TA decided to regroup. Margus Lukk gave Garri Pärn a little pat on the back as they changed positions on the pitch. A review of the gameplan helped Grilled get back to a passable organisation when the referee blew his whistle again. Down the middle came Moey Xin Seng, making a fantastic play that nearly had Grilled take the lead after 92 minutes, but Roland Sepp preserved the tie. Grilled had several good opportunities to take the lead, especially 95 minutes in when 洸平 (Kohei) 奥谷 (Okuya) came up alone against Roland Sepp who managed a block. The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of Grilled's Bhavya Panigrahi after 99 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 0 - 1 lead. The match ends 0 - 1. FC TA's top performer was clearly Roland Sepp. Arto Lukk was a disappointment, however. Grilled's best player was Heng Dong Chu. However, Chirag Thevar made a disastrous appearance.
