Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 125674 at Big Nest Arena Singapore today. Maciej Kruk was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Sebastian Apostol and Theodor Purucker. The match took place on neutral ground. Grilled's starters: Dob - Webb, ter Berg - Kamel, Xin Lee, Mohammad Harun, Muthyala, Parvathaneni - Egan, Ze Han, Mudaliar.

Bot's lineup was: Romete - Anžel, Lopo - Trasferti, Jarvis, Puay Lai, Bolognini, Kian Chee - Konaev, Lai Chuan, Pelowski.

The teams both lined up their players in 2-5-3 formations. Grilled clearly preferred using their divine (+8) ability to attack in the middle. Always a threat, Kalki Parvathaneni tore past his marker and placed the ball right at the feet of the waiting Chan Ze Han who should have easily scored for Grilled, but the ball went wide. The visiting Oleg Konaev was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 14 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 0 - 1 was the score. The crowd chanted their encouragement as Grilled's Salah Kamel came in from the right after 18 minutes and put the ball in the net to level the score at 1 - 1. Some good play on the left wing created an opportunity for the visitors 33 minutes into the match, and Kwek Puay Lai wasn't about to let it go by. He got past the defenders and fired a shot that the keeper just missed. 1 - 2 for the visitors. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave Salah Kamel from Grilled a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 35 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Phang Lai Chuan was unable to continue, following a slight injury to his left knee after 35 minutes. The player that took his place was Niels Grevenbrück. After 42 minutes, Chan Ze Han made a dash down the middle past the away team's defenders to score the goal that made it 2 - 2. Bot took the lead 43 minutes into the game, making the score 2 - 3 after some elegant movement down the middle. Paride Bolognini was the scorer. Kalki Parvathaneni's lightning pace was too much for David Anžel who could only look on as the Grilled player blasted one home. 3 - 3. The guests took the lead 44 minutes into the match, after a right-side attack resulted in Oleg Konaev scoring to make it 3 - 4. It was 3 - 4 at the break. Bot had most of the ball, with 51 percent of possession.

Grilled had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks. 50 minutes into the game, Kalle ter Berg came close to levelling the score with a dangerous shot from the centre of the area that went just over the bar. Niels Grevenbrück was, after 60 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper Massoud Dob made the save. After 61 minutes of play, Salah Kamel evened things up for Grilled with an impressive goal coming up the middle. 4 - 4. After 71 minutes, Grilled began to show their lack of experience and they threatened to wilt under the heavy pressure from their opposition. Chan Ze Han's fine footwork caused nothing but headaches for Paride Bolognini. The keeper wasn't fooled however, and confidently scooped up the ball. 75 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Bot substitution. Junior Kumi came on for Fabio Trasferti. Kwek Puay Lai became the new Bot captain. Kong Kian Chee would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. Alessandro Stefano Argentesi entered the game for Bot as the match clock showed 75 minutes. 77 minutes of the match played, and a comedy of errors by the home side gave the visitors a chance at the lead, but Anthony Jarvis, after finding himself dashing down on goal from the left with only the keeper to beat, sliced his shot horribly wide. Many thought Gilbert Webb ought to have been awarded a penalty 82 minutes into the game, as he went down trying to dribble around Cristian Romete after a determined run through the middle. It was announced by the referee that he estimated stoppage time to be around 4 minutes. This meant there could still be an extra attack or two left in the match! As neither team was able to break the deadlock before the end of regular play, the teams took to the field again for extra time. This part of the game was a standoff between the teams in terms of possession.

A review of the gameplan helped Grilled get back to a solid organisation when the referee blew his whistle again. Some quick footwork on the left side of the field 100 minutes into the match left Bot's Anthony Jarvis completely free to score. 4 - 5 for the visitors. With a shot curled in from just outside the middle of the penalty area after 106 minutes played, Kalki Parvathaneni of Grilled made the score 5 - 5. Grilled took the lead 108 minutes in, as Chu Xin Lee broke through on the left and put the 6 - 5 shot just beyond the reach of the outstretched keeper. The coach of Grilled was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 108 minutes, Moey Xin Seng came on for Bilal Mohammad Harun. As the 119 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution. Neeraj Muthyala reluctantly made way for Cyril Künzler on the pitch. 119 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game. Chu Xin Lee gave Bhavya Panigrahi a quick hug as he left the field. The match ends 6 - 5. The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt Chan Ze Han. Bhavya Panigrahi turned in a dismal performance, however. Oleg Konaev performed admirably for Bot. On the other hand, Nico Lopo's play was disheartening.
