Grilled players heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their wing attacks to the middle instead. Grilled's Gilbert Webb tried to break through the middle repeatedly, but the visitors' defenders were just too alert. With 36 minutes played, Grilled's Salah Kamel received a yellow card for challenging a play with his cleats first. Tokson had a good opportunity to score the go-ahead goal after a combination on the right but the home team's keeper Massoud Dob saved Blas Ariztía's shot that was headed straight to the top corner. Tokson took the lead after 41 minutes making the score 1 - 2. The keeper had no chance on Stanisław Linder's fine volley fromleft of the net after a cross from the right. 1 - 2 was the score after the first half.
