The teams both lined up their players in 2-5-3 formations. With 3 minutes played, Grilled's well-worked indirect free kick caused havoc in the penalty area, and when the ball eventually fell to Salah Kamel he gleefully slotted the ball home to make it 0 - 1. Grilled's Neeraj Muthyala soared above the crowd, but couldn't knock the corner home 12 minutes into the match. 14 minutes into the game, Grilled worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch. The visitors almost increased their lead after 15 minutes when a sweetly hit free kick looked like it was heading for the top corner. However the keeper managed to get a fingertip to it, sending it over the bar. Vikram Mudaliar of Grilled took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 16 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 2. The referee showed Grilled's Bhavya Panigrahi the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Chen Wan Qiang went down after twisting his left ankle after 22 minutes, and had to leave the pitch. Kwek De Jian had already been warming up, and came on for Chen Wan Qiang. KingofNoobs's Dan Chiţigoi got the home crowd going when he finished off a left wing charge, reducing the away team's lead to 1 - 2. With 30 minutes played, Grilled put themselves up 1 - 3 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was Kalki Parvathaneni. 1 - 3 was the score after the first half. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 70 percent.

Grilled increased their lead after 68 minutes when Kalki Parvathaneni broke through on the right, upping the score to 1 - 4, much to the home crowd's dismay. Grilled's Bernie Egan got himself booked for a foul. The home crowd was not impressed when Bernie Egan came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 72 minutes. Grilled were now up 1 - 5. KingofNoobs's Zhang Yong Huat was shown a yellow card after 73 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Grilled's Salah Kamel took a knock to the head after 73 minutes, due to a badly executed header. He took a few uneasy steps, but got dizzy and then taken off the field. This gave Moey Xin Seng a chance to take to the field instead. 74 minutes into the game, Grilled were awarded a penalty and Cyril Künzler was able to increase the visitors' lead to 1 - 6 rolling the ball in by the right post. 80 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game. Bhavya Panigrahi gave 悠太 (Yuta) 中北 (Nakakita) a quick hug as he left the field. Cyril Künzler increased Grilled's lead to 1 - 7 with a superb free kick strike that flew in just under the far top corner. 89 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Grilled substitution. Radovan Jaška came on for Chan Ze Han. Moey Xin Seng became the new Grilled captain. The referee decided to let play continue for an additional 4 minutes beyond the regular 90 minutes. The match ends 1 - 7. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 71 percent of possession.

KingofNoobs's top performer was clearly Vyacheslav Soikin. Chau Hock Kim was a disappointment, however. The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt Bernie Egan. Radovan Jaška turned in a dismal performance, however.
