2-5-3 was the choice of the day for both coaches. It seemed as though Grilled considered the game won before even taking the field, which resulted in a very uninspired start to the game. The cannonball from 35 metres by Islom Davlatov of Grilled was an impressive sight, but didn't make it into the net. Chu Xin Lee caused the crowd to go mental with his goal up the middle after 21 minutes. This gave Grilled the 1 - 0 lead. Grilled solidified their lead at the 26 minute mark, as Bilal Mohammad Harun dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 2 - 0. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. Bernie Egan squirmed through their central defence after 33 minutes, increasing the lead to 3 - 0. Things were deteriorating for the away team as Grilled scored another to make it 4 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for Moey Xin Seng after 36 minutes. It was 4 - 0 at the break. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 65 percent.

Content with how the game was proceeding, the Grilled coach let Prokop Mottl replace Chan Ze Han after 46 minutes. Vikram Mudaliar wanted to play on, but the Grilled coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 46 minutes into the game by José Luiz Velho. 47 minutes into the game, Grilled's Prokop Mottl rolled over in pain after taking a forceful blow to his upper chest. After bandaging his collarbone, the medics led him off the field. The replacement for the injured player was Kalki Parvathaneni. Cheers filled the stadium as Chu Xin Lee broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 5 - 0 to Grilled. 悠太 (Yuta) 中北 (Nakakita) could have increased the lead after 61 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. 67 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as Bilal Mohammad Harun broke through, making the score 6 - 0 for Grilled. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Grilled's Cyril Künzler increasing the lead to 7 - 0. It was announced by the referee that he estimated stoppage time to be around 2 minutes. This meant there could still be an extra attack or two left in the match! The match ends 7 - 0. Grilled had most of the ball, with 67 percent of possession.

Grilled's best player was Kalki Parvathaneni. Islom Davlatov turned in a dismal performance, however. Anish Phansalkar performed admirably for Automat. On the other hand, Scobie Charles's play was disheartening.
