A brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 82700 to Big Nest Arena Singapore. Stefan Bãleanu was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Kostas Avramopoulos and Axel Hinrich Biemer. It was a sunny day and the technical players could roll the ball around with ease. Those that had to chase after the ball found the weather less appealing, it especially stymied the game of Powerful and Quick players. The match took place on neutral ground. 2-5-3 was the choice of the day for both coaches. Grilled mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle, taking advantage of their divine (+4) level with that tactic. Bot's defence sent a ball soaring up the middle on a beautiful counterattack with 16 minutes gone, but Oleg Konaev's finish was met by the reaching hands of the keeper. A mistake by the home side's central defence after 17 minutes allowed Kong Kian Chee to score for Bot. The scoreboard now read 0 - 1. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave Bhavya Panigrahi from Grilled a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 20 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Grilled had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks. After 23 minutes, Moey Xin Seng made a dash down the middle past the away team's defenders to score the goal that made it 1 - 1. Gilbert Webb was unable to continue, following a slight injury to his right knee after 26 minutes. 悠太 (Yuta) 中北 (Nakakita) had already been warming up, and came on for Gilbert Webb. After some beautiful movement down the left wing, Bilal Mohammad Harun scored for Grilled putting them ahead 2 - 1, after 41 minutes. The visitors didn't give in and, after 42 minutes, Stewart Russell got through the home side's central line of defence, rolling in the equaliser to make it 2 - 2. The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 2. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 54 percent of possession.

They were singing the praises of Moey Xin Seng 65 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 3 - 2 to Grilled. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. Bernie Egan squirmed through their central defence after 70 minutes, increasing the lead to 4 - 2. Grilled's Chan Ze Han saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 75 minutes. Fabio Trasferti would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. Anthony Jarvis entered the game for Bot as the match clock showed 80 minutes. 80 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Bot substitution. David Anžel came on for Kong Kian Chee. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Grilled coach let Prokop Mottl replace Moey Xin Seng after 89 minutes. 悠太 (Yuta) 中北 (Nakakita) was the new captain of Grilled - handed the armband by the departing player. The players were tired, but when the referee announced that there would be 2 minutes of added time they, nonetheless, welcomed the extra opportunity to make an impact. A great save by keeper Nicolas Jardin after 89 minutes kept the visitors in the game after Bhavya Panigrahi struck from the left with a real cannonball. The match ends 4 - 2. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 55 percent of the time.

Grilled's top performer was clearly Chan Ze Han. On the other hand, Bhavya Panigrahi's play was disheartening. Most important Bot player was Phang Lai Chuan. Óscar Antonio Cepeda on the other hand, had a terrible day.
