Rabbits 0 - 4 Grilled
It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd that came out to the stadium today. The weather was sunny, which meant perfect conditions for technical players in both teams. However, it was also quite warm, which meant quick or physically strong players were drained faster and couldn't play their best game. Lineup:

Wild Rabbits trundled out to the pitch in a 4-5-1 formation. The visitors, Grilled Birds, chose to start the game with a 2-5-3 lineup. Grilled seemed to prefer attacking in the middle, using their divine (+4) ability to great effect.
Aïssa Hotami of Rabbits received a yellow card after 31 minutes for unsportsmanlike behavior. Grilled had a good opportunity to score the go-ahead goal after a combination on the right but the home team's keeper
Zholdas Dauletov saved
Bernie Egan's shot that was headed straight to the top corner.
Kalki Parvathaneni's well-known speed was on display as he darted past his defender and sent a beautiful pass through the defender’s legs to
Cyril Künzler who scored the 0 - 1 goal. Grilled had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle instead. After 42 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for
Bernie Egan who increased Grilled's lead to 0 - 2. After 44 minutes, the defensive line of Rabbits created a counter-attack through the middle that gave
Mario Battistella a good look at goal, but his shot glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. 0 - 2 was the halftime score. Grilled did a good job holding on to the ball, with 66 percent of possession. We'll be back after these interminable commercial messages.
A defender managed to keep the ball from crossing the goal-line after a curling shot from the right by
Moey Xin Seng beat the keeper with 55 minutes played, preventing Grilled from going up another goal.
Danilo Subotić really should have scored when he was chosen by fate to confront a wide open goal following a great flick by
Severino Martins after a corner. The visitors'
Bernie Egan took advantage of a mix-up between the home side's goalie and center backs 64 minutes into the match. 0 - 3 for Grilled. 70 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game.
Cyril Künzler gave
Islom Davlatov a quick hug as he left the field. As
Cyril Künzler left the field, the coach signaled to
Bhavya Panigrahi to start taking the set pieces that occurred. After 70 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the field, waving
Chu Xin Lee off.
Neeraj Muthyala took his place. A thrilling play through the middle after 71 minutes gave Grilled's
Moey Xin Seng a chance to increase the lead, and he happily obliged. The score was then 0 - 4. The referee showed Rabbits's
Pablo Daniel Denis the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Against a lesser team, Grilled could very well have succeeded with their smart indirect free kick combination after 73 minutes. A trio of passes took the ball all the way past the defenders, but by then the intended recipient was blocked off and the keeper could make a leisurely save. It was announced by the fourth official that he estimated stoppage time to be around 2 minutes. This meant there could still be an extra attack or two left in the match! The match ends 0 - 4. Nikki Minaj appeared on the Jumbotron wearing pink lipstick, a towering pile of platinum-white hair, and a pair of soccer balls. Rabbits's best player was
Feriad Al-Amiri. Even six year old fans were wincing at the poor play by
Keyghobad Jahan today. Most important Grilled player was
Chan Ze Han. Speaking of stinking up the place,
Islom Davlatov sure smelled like the bottom of Batman's shoe after a night of crimefighting in Gotham.
