Lost In The Fog
The Farmer Bunnies' Pacific Cup campaign ended in the Round of 32, after they were stopped 0-4 by American II.1 side SF Red Fog. The Californian giants were simply outstanding all around, and with current national wing star Terry Frederick in the form of his life, Red Fog were all but unbeatable. Still, only Fabián Beiro's strike separated the teams at the 80th minute, before Frederick exploded with a late brace.
Lau Chang Wan described Frederick as perhaps the toughest opponent he had to guard as a leftback. "The guy runs with the ball stuck to his feet, and he's even better in the air." the former national defender conceded. "He just needs that bit of space to work his magic."
Red Fog will play Chilean side Bravito's boys in the next round, after they upset Peru's Malleus hereticorum, and
Jon Benson saw no way Bravito's were going to pull another underdog win off. "Red Fog are on another level. Well, for our part, I'd concentrate on not slipping up against Talpons on Wednesday."
