Lobos Marinos fielded a 2-5-3 lineup. For Grilled Birds, the formation of choice was 3-5-2. Marinos took a formidable creative approach on the field. Grilled mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle, taking advantage of their divine level with that tactic. Grilled took the lead 7 minutes into the game, making the score 0 - 1 after some elegant movement down the middle.
José Luiz Velho was the scorer.
Kálmán Sánta-Balog got left behind when Grilled's
Kalki Parvathaneni left scorch marks in the turf 9 minutes, finishing off with a blisteringly swift strike. 0-2!
Hoàng Trung Quá of Grilled took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 10 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 3. After 28 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed
José Luiz Velho to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 4. A drive down the left side allowed
José Luiz Velho to get in close and score another goal for Grilled after 34 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 5. That was his third goal of the match - a hat trick for
José Luiz Velho. 35 minutes in, Grilled's
Kalki Parvathaneni received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. After 36 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for
Hoàng Trung Quá who increased Grilled's lead to 0 - 6. Marinos nearly produced a goal as
Hamit Berdar set up
Angel Villafuerte for a strike from a seemingly impossible angle. However he put the shot narrowly wide. Halftime score was 0 - 6. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 81 percent.
After 50 minutes, Grilled's
Chu Xin Lee burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 7. After 53 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave
Chan Ze Han a chance to increase the lead for Grilled, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 8. 70 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Grilled substitution.
Jérémy Tarin came on for
Hoàng Trung Quá.
Prokop Mottl went down after twisting his right ankle in minute 72, but was able to continue the match none the less. 80 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game.
José Luiz Velho gave
洸平 (Kohei) 奥谷 (Okuya) a quick hug as he left the field. After the ball was lifted in from the left,
Chan Ze Han was on his own in the home side's penalty area and should have scored after 82 minutes, but missed, probably due to lack of concentration. A well placed corner kick from
Bilal Mohammad Harun was followed by
悠太 (Yuta) 中北 (Nakakita)'s hard but accurate header. The well executed routine resulted in a goal for Grilled, the score now 0 - 9.
洸平 (Kohei) 奥谷 (Okuya) received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 88 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 10. The Grilled fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. The players were tired, but when the referee announced that there would be 4 minutes of added time they, nonetheless, welcomed the extra opportunity to make an impact. The match ends 0 - 10. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 82 percent of possession.
The most dominating Marinos player was without a doubt
Cecilio Luis. However,
Hamit Berdar made a disastrous appearance. Grilled's best player was
Bernie Egan.
雄輝 (Yuki) 入江 (Irie) turned in a dismal performance, however.
