Given a free kick from an impossible angle, Lokomotyv went for a play that loyal fans may recognize from training. A square ball surprised the defense and let Sedat Rahmeti slip through at goal. He hit it first time, making the score 0 - 1, 11 minutes into the game. No matter how hard he tried, Moey Xin Seng just couldn't get past the visitors' right side defense 20 minutes in and eventually the ball was cleared away. After 22 minutes, Kalki Parvathaneni rushed down the middle past the away team's defenders to score the 1 - 1 goal. Moey Xin Seng is making an astonishing dash. The fans are chanting his name. You can hear it reverberate around the stadium. Now a manic sprint up the middle and into the box. Oh! He's thrown open the door! He's thrown open the door, shot the ball through, and slammed the door shut on Mr. Tumnus! Grilled has taken the lead 23 minutes into the match, 2 to 1. There'll be no Turkish Delight after the match for the keeper! It was obvious that Grilled had instructions to attack in the middle when they directed a break on the wing into the center of the park. 26 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defense had to look on as Neeraj Muthyala ran straight through, knocking one home to make it 3 - 1 for Grilled. Things were going from bad to worse for the visitors. Chu Xin Lee was able to squirm through the central defense after 29 minutes and score, bringing the lead to 4 - 1. After more pushing and shoving than a pack of helicopter moms trying to get the last appointment for their snowflakes to see the Easter Bunny, Lokomotyv's Cristian-Radu Bohuş finally got himself booked for a foul. 4 - 1 was the halftime score. Grilled set the tempo, maintaining 53 percent of possession.

46 minutes into the match, the referee signaled for a Grilled substitution. Chan Ze Han came on for Chu Xin Lee. The referee showed Grilled's Bhavya Panigrahi the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. After 51 minutes, Lokomotyv used a short break in the game to take new instructions from their coach. Bhavya Panigrahi tipped the corner kick right to the keeper, who mishandled it, giving Grilled's Moey Xin Seng a chance to knock it in for 5 - 1. Grilled's Moey Xin Seng swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defense were able to clear the ball. With 65 minutes played, Moey Xin Seng could have brought this one home for Grilled as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high. The Lokomotyv free kick 77 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But it was no mistake - Alexander Pischenkov seemingly came out of nowhere and had miles of space to control the ball and pick his spot. That's 5 - 2! 80 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game. Moey Xin Seng gave Vikram Mudaliar a quick hug as he left the field. As Grilled's captain went off, he handed the armband to Chan Ze Han. 81 minutes into the game, Grilled's Cyril Künzler tried to nail the coffin shut, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net. The referee decided to let play continue for an additional 2 beyond the regular 90 minutes. The match ends 5 - 2. Nikki Minaj appeared on the Jumbotron wearing pink lipstick, a towering pile of platinum-white hair, and a pair of soccer balls. Grilled's best player was Kalki Parvathaneni. I can't remember Gilbert Webb ever having a worse night than he just had. Lokomotyv's top performer was clearly Sedat Rahmeti. You can tell it was nickel beer night yesterday at the local bar because Sergey Stepukov seemed to stumble all over the pitch.
