Always quick on his feet, Grilled's Bernie Egan sped down the field after 6 minutes, but his pass to Kalki Parvathaneni was just a bit too far ahead for him to get a good shot off. Blackburn's Gniewosz Jahnz almost tied things up after 12 minutes when he broke through on the right, but his shot deflected off the post. 28 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 2 as Kalki Parvathaneni finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular bicycle kick. The visitors' Kalki Parvathaneni took advantage of a mix-up between the home side's goalie and center backs 34 minutes into the match. 0 - 3 for Grilled. After 36 minutes, Grilled's Moey Xin Seng burst through the central defense and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 4. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 4. By working their way through the middle, Blackburn refused to be intimidated – their efforts finally led to Miikka Raami managing to slip the ball past the keeper to make the score 1 - 4. 55 minutes into the game, Grilled worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch. Grilled's Cyril Künzler received a ball slotted perfectly through the home side's central defense after 59 minutes, and chipped it past the helpless keeper to increase the lead to 1 - 5. The away fans won't regret traveling for this one! With the clock showing 60 minutes, the fourth official held up the substitution board. Chan Ze Han came on for Chu Xin Lee. Only after several tries were Blackburn able to break through on the left 63 minutes in, getting the ball to Miikka Raami who cockily put away the goal to make the score 2 - 5. The home crowd was briefly mollified when Petar Backović reduced the lead to 3 - 5 after a brilliant midfield give-and-go through the middle. The referee decided to let play continue for an additional 3 beyond the regular 90 minutes. The match ends 3 - 5.
