It was to be a contest between two different football philosophies, since the home team started the game with a 3-5-2 formation while the visitors instead opted for a 2-5-3. Ronchel fans held their breath as
Hkan Lindstrm gallivanted down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and fired home the go-ahead goal for 1 - 0! Grilled leveled the score after 31 minutes to make it 1 - 1, as
Bilal Mohammad Harun struck home after a fine midfield combination through the middle left him completely unmarked. Ronchel's coach was furious with
Heikki Kalliorinne after he picked up a yellow for saying one too many words to the ref. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, Grilled's
Bhavya Panigrahi got himself booked. The visiting
Cyril Knzler was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 37 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 1 - 2 was the score. After 41 minutes,
Jappie Coppejans rushed down the middle past the away team's defenders to score the 2 - 2 goal. 2 - 2 was the halftime score. Grilled had the upper hand in possession, maintaining an impressive 59 percent possession of the ball.
With the clock showing 46 minutes, the fourth official held up the substitution board.
Islom Davlatov looked to see that it was his number in red, so he made his way over to the sideline and swapped out for
Kalki Parvathaneni, though he would have liked to continue. Grilled took the lead after 56 minutes making the score 2 - 3. The keeper had no chance on
Chu Xin Lee's fine volley fromleft of the net after a cross from the right. A thrilling play through the middle after 58 minutes gave Grilled's
Chu Xin Lee a chance to increase the lead, and he happily obliged. The score was then 2 - 4. At 64 minutes into the game, Ronchel's
Ivano Cozzula cooly knocked the ball home after an impressive run down the left, reducing the visitors' lead to 3 - 4. As the 70 minute mark approached, the Grilled manager decided it was time for a substitution.
Neeraj Muthyala reluctantly made way for
Bernie Egan.
Kalki Parvathaneni's Road Runneresque speed was too much for
Heikki Kalliorinne, who could only look on as the Grilled player blasted one home. 3 - 5. 75 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game.
Chan Ze Han gave
Vikram Mudaliar a quick hug as he left the field.
Moey Xin Seng somehow managed to break free of his man on the left wing and only needed a relatively easy finish to bring Grilled's lead up to 3 - 6.
Heng Dong Chu came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle, but his attempted chip over
Manos Kakouriotis just kept rising and landed in the relieved crowd. After 83 minutes, Grilled's
Heng Dong Chu burst through the central defense and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 3 - 7.
Kalki Parvathaneni of Grilled was able to make an impressive run past the sluggish
Heikki Kalliorinne, which resulted in the 3 - 8 goal. The referee decided to let play continue for an additional 4 beyond the regular 90 minutes. The match ends 3 - 8. Grilled set the tempo, maintaining 59 percent of possession.
Hkan Lindstrm performed admirably for Ronchel. I can't remember
Dimitar Penchev ever having a worse night than he just had. The most outstanding Grilled player was without a doubt
Kalki Parvathaneni. Good thing
Gilbert Webb isn't a horse, because he'd surely be sent to the glue factory after that performance.
