Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 3679 at The Cooking Pot today. Zdenko Tolja was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Ciprian Gheorghe and Jan Vejtasa. The teams had chosen different formations for the match. Home team Grilled Birds went for 3-5-2 while Grafschaft City has decided to play a 2-5-3 lineup. Grilled demonstrated their supernatural creative tactics on the field. The visitors' central defence should have had no trouble clearing the pass to Vikram Mudaliar, but the Grilled player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 1 - 0! The visitors' equaliser seemed sure to come after 12 minutes, following a one on one situation around the left hand side of the goal area, but Eren Serpin got the best of it, blocking the shot from Nathan Sturn. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. Bernie Egan squirmed through their central defence after 27 minutes, increasing the lead to 2 - 0. Grilled's Kalki Parvathaneni had a good first touch on the flank, but was crowded and, after a change of plan, sent the ball to Pompeo Bellamoli who somehow managed to curl the ball wide. Vikram Mudaliar could have increased the lead after 35 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. Cheers filled the stadium as Prokop Mottl broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 3 - 0 to Grilled. Grafschaft's Joao Aparicio hurt his back 42 minutes into the match, and had to be convinced by the medical team that it was safer not to continue the match. The player that took his place was Ferdi Zimmermann. It was 3 - 0 at the break. Grilled had most of the ball, with 73 percent of possession.

Pompeo Bellamoli would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. Leonard Nguyen entered the game for Grilled as the match clock showed 46 minutes. 46 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Grilled substitution. Krystian Rykowski came on for Eren Serpin. The Grilled free kick 48 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of Bernie Egan, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 4 - 0! With 56 minutes played, Moey Xin Seng could have brought this one home for Grilled as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high. 59 minutes in, Grilled's Kalki Parvathaneni received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Grafschaft's Sascha Wedershoven left the field after 59 minutes having twisted his hand in a collision, causing a slight injury. This gave Ruben Caduff a chance to take to the field instead. As Sascha Wedershoven exited the field, Ruben Caduff volunteered to be the new set pieces taker. Rodrigo Caballero became the new Grafschaft captain. Grilled put themselves up 5 - 0 when Bernie Egan broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. At that, Bernie Egan was noted down for a hat trick! The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave Rodrigo Caballero from Grafschaft a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 69 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! An accurate cross from Kalki Parvathaneni of Grilled was met with a wonderful glancing header from Moey Xin Seng, hitting the inside base of the post before nestling into the back of the net for 6 - 0. Grafschaft's Ruben Caduff was able to reply, after 82 minutes, making the score 6 - 1 with a well struck penalty. The referee announced 4 minutes of stoppage time, giving fans a slim hope that their team could get one more attack in before this was all over. With 90 minutes played, Grilled's Kalki Parvathaneni almost extended the lead, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net. The match ends 6 - 1. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 74 percent of possession.

Moey Xin Seng performed admirably for Grilled. Krystian Rykowski turned in a dismal performance, however. Grafschaft's best player was Rodrigo Caballero. Ruben Caduff was a disappointment, however.
