Grilled 5 - 0 Automat

Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 71940 at The Cooking Pot today. Roberto Matta was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Meddy Madiot and Czesław Pyton. Lineup: Dob - Webb, Panigrahi - Künzler, Muthyala, Ze Han, Mohammad Harun, Dong Chu - Xin Seng, Egan, Parvathaneni.

The following players had been chosen: Montblanch - Chedeville, Guarino - Charles, Pergół, Erin, Nemes, Ðurašinović - Phansalkar, Banothu, Kärkkäinen.

As the teams prepared to start the match, they both lined up in a 2-5-3 formation. The visitors' central defence should have had no trouble clearing the pass to Heng Dong Chu, but the Grilled player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 1 - 0! Kalki Parvathaneni should probably have put his team up another goal after 13 minutes after breaking through the middle, but some great goalkeeping by Antoni Montblanch kept the visitors in the game. Automat's Anders Erin got himself booked for a foul. Grilled solidified their lead at the 33 minute mark, as Chan Ze Han dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 2 - 0. A great save by keeper Antoni Montblanch after 41 minutes kept the visitors in the game after Bernie Egan struck from the left with a real cannonball. Cheers filled the stadium as Bernie Egan broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 3 - 0 to Grilled. The teams went for the halftime break at 3 - 0. Grilled had most of the ball, with 62 percent of possession.

Kalki Parvathaneni unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide. A free kick just outside of the visitors' penalty area after 71 minutes could have resulted in another goal, but Antoni Montblanch got a hand out and tipped the ball over the bar. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Grilled to 4 - 0 as Gilbert Webb finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. Grilled managed to extend their lead to 5 - 0 when Moey Xin Seng cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. Moey Xin Seng would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. Prokop Mottl entered the game for Grilled as the match clock showed 80 minutes. Heng Dong Chu had a fantastic opportunity to put Grilled up another goal 81 minutes into the match after a pass through the middle set him free, but he fired just over the crossbar. After 85 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving Bhavya Panigrahi off the field. 悠太 (Yuta) 中北 (Nakakita) took his place. 89 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game. Kalki Parvathaneni gave 洸平 (Kohei) 奥谷 (Okuya) a quick hug as he left the field. It was announced by the referee that he estimated stoppage time to be around 1 minute. This meant there could still be an extra attack or two left in the match! The match ends 5 - 0. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 65 percent of the time.

Grilled's best player was Bernie Egan. 洸平 (Kohei) 奥谷 (Okuya) on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important Automat player was RV Banothu. However, Raphaël Chedeville made a disastrous appearance.
