Both teams came out with a similar approach to the match, having chosen to start with a 2-5-3 formation. Grilled tried to focus their attacks down the middle, taking advantage of their divine (+4) level with that tactic. 0 - 1 was the score with 4 minutes played, after Bert Temmer cut through the central defence and chipped home a goal for Alianza. Orlando Betancourt received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 6 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 2. The Alianza fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. Moey Xin Seng couldn't do anything to stop the technically gifted Leonel Ferreira as he dodged past on his way to scoring a wonderful goal for Alianza - 0 - 3! The home crowd was not impressed when Justin Guedez came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 22 minutes. Alianza were now up 0 - 4. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 4. Neither team was controlling the possession at this point in the match, with the stats showing a 50:50 split.

Orlando Betancourt increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 5. Nelson Amaya was doing a great job on his wing, sending in brilliant passes to his teammates in the middle, but Justin Guedez seemed unable to profit from this excellent service. After 70 minutes, Alianza's Leonel Ferreira burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 6. After 74 minutes, Alianza sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached Leonel Ferreira, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 0 - 7. That was his third goal of the match - a hat trick for Leonel Ferreira. 75 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game. Vikram Mudaliar gave Chan Ze Han a quick hug as he left the field. 77 minutes in, Grilled's Bhavya Panigrahi received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. After 89 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving Neeraj Muthyala off the field. 洸平 (Kohei) 奥谷 (Okuya) took his place. It was announced by the referee that he estimated stoppage time to be around 3 minutes. This meant there could still be an extra attack or two left in the match! The match ends 0 - 7. Alianza had most of the ball, with 51 percent of possession.

Most important Grilled player was Chu Xin Lee. 洸平 (Kohei) 奥谷 (Okuya) was a disappointment, however. The most dominating Alianza player was without a doubt Leonel Ferreira. Leonel Cadenas turned in a dismal performance, however.
