2-5-3 was the choice of the day for both coaches. Grilled mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle, taking advantage of their divine (+4) level with that tactic. The home crowd breathed a collective sigh of relief when Vikram Mudaliar was unable to put the ball in the net after his show of skill down the left 12 minutes into the match. He was seen beating the pitch in frustration at missing such a good chance to give his team the lead! Automat took the lead 21 minutes in, as Christopher Quach broke through on the left and put the 1 - 0 shot just beyond the reach of the outstretched keeper. Chan Ze Han tied the game at 1 - 1 after 30 minutes, when he converted an incredible pass from the right. The terraces were silenced after 33 minutes when Grilled's Vikram Mudaliar put the guests ahead 1 - 2, following an attack on the right. Had it not been for one of the home defenders, Kalki Parvathaneni would have put Grilled up another goal 36 minutes into the match with his audacious lob from the right wing. The visitors added to their lead 41 minutes into the game, after a sensational penalty kick by Grilled's Bhavya Panigrahi slid just past the home keeper. 1 - 3. 1 - 3 was the halftime score. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 59 percent of the ball.

After 47 minutes Vikram Mudaliar made a speedy advance and dropped the ball to Kalki Parvathaneni who shuffled it past the keeper. The score was now 1 - 4. After 49 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed Moey Xin Seng to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 1 - 5. Genésio Guarino went down after twisting his right ankle after 56 minutes, and had to leave the pitch. The player that took his place was Sinan Öztaş. It was obvious that team Grilled had instructions to attack in the middle instead of on the wings. After 60 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave Bernie Egan a chance to increase the lead for Grilled, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 1 - 6. The home crowd cheered when, after 73 minutes, Moey Xin Seng's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. Grilled had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks. Vikram Mudaliar received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 78 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 1 - 7. The Grilled fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. With 79 minutes played, Grilled put themselves up 1 - 8 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was Chan Ze Han. After 85 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving Bhavya Panigrahi off the field. 悠太 (Yuta) 中北 (Nakakita) took his place. With Bhavya Panigrahi no longer on the pitch, Gilbert Webb took over free kick duty. As the 88 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution. Vikram Mudaliar reluctantly made way for Prokop Mottl on the pitch. The players were tired, but when the referee announced that there would be 4 minutes of added time they, nonetheless, welcomed the extra opportunity to make an impact. The match ends 1 - 8. Grilled had most of the ball, with 63 percent of possession.

Christopher Quach performed admirably for Automat. On the other hand, Lee De's play was disheartening. Most important Grilled player was Chan Ze Han. Bernie Egan turned in a dismal performance, however.
