The teams had chosen different formations for the match. Home team Grilled Birds went for 2-5-3 while kberga has decided to play a 3-5-2 lineup. Grilled clearly preferred using their divine (+5) ability to attack in the middle. 12 minutes of the match played, and a comedy of errors by the home side gave the visitors a chance at the lead, but Fábio Alcáçova, after finding himself dashing down on goal from the left with only the keeper to beat, sliced his shot horribly wide. Grilled took the lead 15 minutes in, as Bilal Mohammad Harun broke through on the left and put the 1 - 0 shot just beyond the reach of the outstretched keeper. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. Chan Ze Han squirmed through their central defence after 29 minutes, increasing the lead to 2 - 0. Grilled put in a good effort on the right, but Islom Davlatov saw his volley fly wide of the mark 32 minutes into the game. With 33 minutes played, Neeraj Muthyala could have brought this one home for Grilled as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high. With 34 minutes played, Moey Xin Seng of Grilled fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. It was 2 - 0 at the break. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 64 percent.

46 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Grilled substitution. Bhavya Panigrahi came on for 悠太 (Yuta) 中北 (Nakakita). After 46 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving Neeraj Muthyala off the field. Kalki Parvathaneni took his place. After 53 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and Chan Ze Han gave the Grilled supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 3 - 0. Cyril Künzler's curling free kick almost found the goal for Grilled, but the visitors' keeper somehow managed to get ahold of it. The visitors' right side was dangerous today; Nicky van der Wal made the home team's keeper look foolish as he easily scored to reduce the lead to 3 - 1 71 minutes into the match. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Grilled's Chu Xin Lee increasing the lead to 4 - 1. Chu Xin Lee unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide. The referee announced 2 minutes of stoppage time, giving fans a slim hope that their team could get one more attack in before this was all over. The match ends 4 - 1. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 64 percent of the ball.

Grilled's best player was Moey Xin Seng. Bhavya Panigrahi turned in a dismal performance, however. Miłosław Marosz performed admirably for kberga. On the other hand, Mohamed Pettersson's play was disheartening.
