FC Wiehlmys entered the field in a 3-5-2 formation. The visitors, Grilled Birds, chose to start the game with a 2-5-3 lineup. Grilled seemed to prefer attacking in the middle, taking advantage of their divine (+5) level with that tactic. After 2 minutes,
Joņs Gāršteins came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 1 - 0, giving Wiehlmys the lead. It was a fine day for
Cyril Künzler on his wing, his cross pass to
Moey Xin Seng was especially delicate 21 minutes into the game, but the keeper saved.
Gaudenz Klopfenstein should probably have put his team up another goal after 22 minutes after breaking through the middle, but some great goalkeeping by
Massoud Dob kept the visitors in the game. After 24 minutes, the visitors tied it up at 1 - 1 when a fantastic pass from the left was finished off by
悠太 (Yuta) 中北 (Nakakita). Making his way up the middle 33 minutes into the match,
Didier Launoy almost managed to squeeze a goal past the visitors' keeper, but the alert
Massoud Dob blocked it to keep the score level. 36 minutes into the game,
Neeraj Muthyala almost gave the visitors the lead, as he clipped a delicate lob over the keeper, but the ball glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. Grilled's
Islom Davlatov gave the visitors a 1 - 2 lead after 37 minutes with a superb strike from the right. Halftime score was 1 - 2. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Wiehlmys, with 51 percent of the ball.
After 46 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving
悠太 (Yuta) 中北 (Nakakita) off the field.
Bhavya Panigrahi took his place.
Neeraj Muthyala would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise.
Kalki Parvathaneni entered the game for Grilled as the match clock showed 46 minutes. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Wiehlmys's
Sébastian Gabard was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 70 minutes.
Josef Cassar was given a chance to change things around. With the clock showing 71 minutes played,
Seza Tokuzarka equalised for Wiehlmys after curling a free kick around the defensive wall to make the score 2 - 2. The terraces were silenced after 77 minutes when Grilled's
Moey Xin Seng put the guests ahead 2 - 3, following an attack on the right. Grilled's
Kalki Parvathaneni was shown a yellow card after 79 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
Had it not been for one of the home defenders,
Chan Ze Han would have put Grilled up another goal 81 minutes into the match with his audacious lob from the right wing. After 82 minutes, Grilled's lack of experience resulted in the team's loss of their edge at the end of the game. With 83 minutes played, Wiehlmys's well-worked indirect free kick caused havoc in the penalty area, and when the ball eventually fell to
Pere Dolcet he gleefully slotted the ball home to make it 3 - 3. The referee announced 2 minutes of stoppage time, giving fans a slim hope that their team could get one more attack in before this was all over. The match ends 3 - 3. Wiehlmys had most of the ball, with 52 percent of possession.
The most dominating Wiehlmys player was without a doubt
Willi Untersee. On the other hand,
Marcel Moser's play was disheartening. Grilled's top performer was clearly
Moey Xin Seng.
Bhavya Panigrahi on the other hand, had a terrible day.
