Chu Xin Lee gave Grilled the lead as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then slotted the ball into the bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance. 1 - 0 Rockhill levelled the score after 36 minutes to make it 1 - 1, as Grzegorz Chciuk struck home after a fine midfield combination through the centre, which left him completely unmarked. Halftime score was 1 - 1. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 51 percent.

After 46 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving 悠太 (Yuta) 中北 (Nakakita) off the field. Bhavya Panigrahi took his place. As the 46 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution. Neeraj Muthyala reluctantly made way for Kalki Parvathaneni on the pitch. They were singing the praises of Moey Xin Seng 56 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 2 - 1 to Grilled. Central attacks were the recipe of the day for Grilled, as they moved the ball from the wings to the middle with startling regularity. Grilled solidified their lead at the 79 minute mark, as Cyril Künzler dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 3 - 1. The home team's fans were upset when, after 80 minutes, the visiting Alexis Kavoukis broke through the central defence and kicked the ball past the keeper. 3 - 2 was the score. With 82 minutes played, the visitors could have drawn level after Bernie Stott came through the middle, but his shot went wide. After 85 minutes, Chan Ze Han put Grilled ahead 4 - 2 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing.
