Plankenhausen 3 - 3 Grilled

7011 spectators arrived at Plank Arena, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. Harry Höfliger was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Zacharie Plourde and Bobby Ruijter. The following players took the field: Schläppi - Kořínek, Munk, Aguiar, Niazi - Beck, Tschütscher, Goop, Kyllinen - Hellkvist, van Schriek.

They fielded: Seng - 奥谷 (Okuya), Abdul Majid, Tarin - Egan, Mudaliar, Xin Seng, Ze Han, Davlatov - Mottl, Velho.

It was to be a contest between two different football philosophies, since the home team started the game with a 4-4-2 formation while the visitors instead opted for 3-5-2. Grilled clearly preferred using their divine ability to attack in the middle. 3 minutes into the match, Grilled nearly took the lead, as Islom Davlatov broke through on the right. Rolf Schläppi made the save, however. Many thought Detlef Tschütscher ought to have been awarded a penalty 9 minutes into the game, as he went down trying to dribble around Dan Seng after a determined run through the middle. After 11 minutes Teemu Kyllinen made a speedy advance and dropped the ball to Ivar Hellkvist who shuffled it past the keeper. The score was now 1 - 0. Cheers filled the stadium as Gian Goop broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 2 - 0 to Plankenhausen. Grilled were desperate to get a goal back and pushed forward through the middle 31 minutes into the game. After a scramble in the box, the ball dropped to Mohd Jafni Abdul Majid, who smashed it home to make the score 2 - 1. Halftime score was 2 - 1. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 51 percent.

After 46 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving Islom Davlatov off the field. Bhavya Panigrahi took his place. 46 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Grilled substitution. Kalki Parvathaneni came on for Vikram Mudaliar. The cannonball from 35 metres by Jérémy Tarin of Grilled was an impressive sight, but didn't make it into the net. 71 minutes into the game Grilled's Moey Xin Seng found a gap in the home side's central defence and scored with a fabulous shot, making it 2 - 2. 2 - 3 was the score with 73 minutes played, after Moey Xin Seng cut through the central defence and chipped home a goal for Grilled. A tussle 78 minutes into the match resulted in a penalty being awarded to the home team and Teemu Kyllinen put the ball into the back of the net without any difficulty. That tied the score up at 3 - 3. José Luiz Velho would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. Leonard Nguyen entered the game for Grilled as the match clock showed 85 minutes. The referee decided to let play continue for an additional 2 minutes beyond the regular 90 minutes. The match ends 3 - 3. Grilled had most of the ball, with 54 percent of possession.

The most dominating Plankenhausen player was without a doubt Ivar Hellkvist. On the other hand, Rolf Schläppi's play was disheartening. Grilled's best player was Moey Xin Seng. Dan Seng on the other hand, had a terrible day.
