Korens 10 - 1 Grilled

Clouds darkened the skies at Koren's Kanoos Arena as 5897 spectators turned up for the match. Paul Ebner was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Florian Freiherr Spiegel von und zu Peckelsheim and Benjamin Lagerstedt. The following players had been chosen: Bonda - Abbas, Igodan - Wasylik, Husz, Morriën, Moutwakil, Drelich - Zanza, Oyedele, Stephen.

The following players took the field: Serpin - 奥谷 (Okuya), Abdul Majid, Tarin - Mudaliar, Dong Chu, Xin Seng, Ze Han, Davlatov - Mottl, Velho.

Koren's Kanoos fielded a 2-5-3 lineup. For Grilled Birds, the formation of choice was 3-5-2. Grilled tried to focus their attacks down the middle, taking advantage of their utopian level with that tactic. After 3 minutes, Patrick Stephen came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 1 - 0, giving Korens the lead. Korens managed to extend their lead to 2 - 0 when Patrick Stephen cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. The referee showed Korens's Patrick Stephen the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. After 18 minutes, Prokop Mottl took a hard knock between his legs. He needed a long breather but were eventually able to continue the game. Korens's Muhammed Oyedele increased the lead to 3 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 27 minutes. Grilled's José Luiz Velho was shown a yellow card after 30 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Mieczysław Wasylik was unable to continue, following a slight injury to his right knee after 31 minutes. Sebastian Kersley tried to hide a smile as he entered the field. He had not expected to get a chance this day. Korens's Patryk Drelich was dominating his wing and kept sending fine balls into the opposition's box - Patrick Stephen managed to volley one of them into the net to make it 4 - 0 after 37 minutes. By then Patrick Stephen had scored three goals - a hat trick! A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Korens's Louis Zanza increasing the lead to 5 - 0. 5 - 0 was the score after the first half. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Korens, with 57 percent of the ball.

46 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Grilled substitution. Bernie Egan came on for Islom Davlatov. Things were deteriorating for the away team as Korens scored another to make it 6 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for Sebastian Kersley after 51 minutes. After 53 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and Aldo Morriën gave the Korens supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 7 - 0. Sebastian Kersley increased the lead for Korens to 8 - 0, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it! Having been awarded a free kick in an awkward position after 62 minutes, Korens did not go for a shot but instead fired the ball hard into the 6 yard box. After a brief tussle with his marker, Sebastian Kersley was able to power the ball past the keeper to make the score 9 - 0. That made three goals for Sebastian Kersley and he was marked down for the hat trick. Bernie Egan was the first to reach the corner kick, but his header was blocked by the keeper. However, Grilled's Chan Ze Han managed to get hold of the rebound and tucked the ball into the empty net. 9 - 1 Korens put themselves up 10 - 1 when Ahmed Igodan broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. 88 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game. Prokop Mottl gave Pompeo Bellamoli a quick hug as he left the field. After 89 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving Mohd Jafni Abdul Majid off the field. Yee Jian Hui took his place. As the match nears its end, the referee has deemed it appropriate to add 5 minutes as stoppage time. The match ends 10 - 1. Korens claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 57 percent.

Most important Korens player was Dragoş-Cristian Bonda. Muhammed Oyedele was a disappointment, however. Moey Xin Seng performed admirably for Grilled. On the other hand, Pompeo Bellamoli's play was disheartening.
