Grilled 2 - 2 Haha

59985 fans braved the pouring rain at The Cooking Pot. Alexis Drame was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Nenzinho Ceará and Uli Rauchhaupt. The pitch was a disaster, due to all the rain. This spelled problems for the more sophisticated players, who usually could rely on speed or technique. For those relying on grit and strength, it actually meant an edge. The following players took the field: Dob - Webb, 中北 (Nakakita) - Künzler, Xin Lee, Mohammad Harun, Muthyala, Dong Chu - Mudaliar, Xin Seng, Davlatov.

Starters: Andino - Khairil Syahmi, Tian Jin, Yun Shi, Nie Yew - Nemarić, Kerber, Turpeenniemi, Iyer, Trang - Rampazzi.

It was to be a contest between two different football philosophies, since the home team started the game with a 2-5-3 formation while the visitors instead opted for 4-5-1. Grilled seemed to prefer attacking in the middle, taking advantage of their divine (+4) level with that tactic. After 23 minutes, Haha's Cory Trang made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 0 - 1. Cyril Künzler's early cross saw the defenders caught out of position and the alert Vikram Mudaliar was able to pounce and roll the ball past the hapless goalkeeper to score for Grilled. 1 - 1. At 35 minutes played, Neeraj Muthyala came in from the right with the intention of giving Grilled the lead, but his rocket of a shot rattled the crossbar. 1 - 1 was the score after the first half. Possession of the ball saw an equal split between the teams during the forty-five minutes.

After 46 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving 悠太 (Yuta) 中北 (Nakakita) off the field. Bhavya Panigrahi took his place. Grilled took the lead after 57 minutes as a result of Bilal Mohammad Harun's peach of a shot from the right hand side of the box - placed beautifully in the top corner. 2 - 1. It emerged that Ng Yun Shi had hurt his left foot after 58 minutes, which led him to abandon the game. The player that took his place was Anwar Khan. Grilled's Vikram Mudaliar had an excellent opportunity after 59 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles! Still trailing on the score board, Haha adjusted their tactics after 65 minutes. Vignesh Iyer had a quick chat at the side line, then switched positions with Cory Trang. Vignesh Iyer would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. Yaqoub Al-Hamed entered the game for Haha as the match clock showed 66 minutes. Neo Nie Yew tied the game at 2 - 2 after 68 minutes, when he converted an incredible pass from the right. The guests almost went up by a goal after 73 minutes when Basilio Rampazzi came through and shot from the right. The ball bounced harmlessly off the post, though. As the 80 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution. Islom Davlatov reluctantly made way for Bernie Egan on the pitch. 88 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Grilled substitution. Chan Ze Han came on for Vikram Mudaliar. The referee decided to let play continue for an additional 2 minutes beyond the regular 90 minutes. The match ends 2 - 2. Grilled had most of the ball, with 51 percent of possession.

The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt Moey Xin Seng. Bhavya Panigrahi turned in a dismal performance, however. Haha's best player was Basilio Rampazzi. On the other hand, Anwar Khan's play was disheartening.
