Rising 2 - 8 Grilled

Weather conditions were fairly good for football at the stadium today. The following players took the field: Bude - Søe, Bienioszek - Theilgaard, Kjellsson, Schoop, Ţipău, Aldeghi - Olmo, , Nicolaisen.

Starters: Dob - Webb, 中北 (Nakakita) - Künzler, Xin Seng, Mohammad Harun, Muthyala, Romijn - Mudaliar, Ze Han, Parvathaneni.

As the teams spread out over the pitch, it became clear that they would both be using a 2-5-3 formation today. Grilled tried to focus their attacks down the middle, taking advantage of their divine (+4) level with that tactic. Grilled's Florus Romijn could have put the guests one up after 4 minutes after chasing a through ball from the right, but Jack Bude was as fast as a snake, grabbing the ball from under his nose. Bogdan-Sorin Ţipău couldn't do anything to stop the technically gifted Chan Ze Han as he dodged past on his way to scoring a wonderful goal for Grilled - 0 - 1! After a fatal mistake from the away team's right side defence 23 minutes into the match, an alert Luis Mari Olmo bagged the ball for Rising, levelling the score to 1 - 1. Grilled players heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their wing attacks to the middle instead. The visiting Vikram Mudaliar was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 29 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 1 - 2 was the score. Chan Ze Han of Grilled took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 30 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 1 - 3. Rising had to manage with a reduced squad after 31 minutes, as Stefan Kjellsson got sent off for a needless foul away from the game's action. As the captain was no longer on the pitch, Maciej Bienioszek took over the role of being the Rising captain. The home crowd was given a certain amount of consolation when Jørn Schoop scored after a brilliant midfield combination through the centre, reducing the lead to 2 - 3. 38 minutes into the game, Rising had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to solid. Grilled were determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up centrally. The visitors' Bilal Mohammad Harun took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 40 minutes into the match. 2 - 4 for Grilled. 2 - 4 was the halftime score. Grilled had most of the ball, with 59 percent of possession.

A review of the gameplan helped Rising get back to a solid organisation when the referee blew his whistle again. Florus Romijn would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. Chu Xin Lee entered the game for Grilled as the match clock showed 46 minutes. Kalki Parvathaneni came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle. He tried to lift the ball over Jack Bude but overcooked it and hit the bar instead. The referee showed Rising's Maciej Bienioszek the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Grilled had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks. After 54 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for Moey Xin Seng who increased Grilled's lead to 2 - 5. When Maciej Bienioszek made yet another studs-first tackle after 59 minutes, the referee was obliged to book the Rising player for the second time, sending him off the pitch. With Maciej Bienioszek no longer on the pitch, Jørn Schoop became the new set pieces taker. Bogdan-Sorin Ţipău became the new Rising captain. Rising's Mads Søe was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 70 minutes. Grilled's Moey Xin Seng made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 71 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line. Central attacks were the recipe of the day for Grilled, as they moved the ball from the wings to the middle with startling regularity. After 79 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave Chu Xin Lee a chance to increase the lead for Grilled, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 2 - 6. 88 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Grilled substitution. Hoàng Trung Quá came on for 悠太 (Yuta) 中北 (Nakakita). The referee decided to let play continue for an additional 3 minutes beyond the regular 90 minutes. A corner kick created great disorder in the penalty area with a goal nearly scored by Moey Xin Seng. At last, Grilled's Chu Xin Lee was able to backheel the ball in. 2 - 7. It was obvious that team Grilled had instructions to attack in the middle instead of on the wings. After 90 minutes, Grilled's Chan Ze Han burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 2 - 8. That was his third goal of the match - a hat trick for Chan Ze Han. The match ends 2 - 8. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 63 percent of possession.

The most dominating Rising player was without a doubt Luis Mari Olmo. Kai Theilgaard turned in a dismal performance, however. Chan Ze Han performed admirably for Grilled. Hoàng Trung Quá on the other hand, had a terrible day.
