Grilled 5 - 2 Müllenbach

Weather conditions were pretty good for football today. Lineup: Dob - Webb, 中北 (Nakakita) - Künzler, Xin Seng, Mohammad Harun, Muthyala, Romijn - Mudaliar, Ze Han, Parvathaneni.

They fielded: Wolej - Aranda, Gollmer, Gatinara Leñano - van der Made, Smilkovski, Lowe, Kurklinskas, Stoertkuhl - Cordero, Zozaya.

It was to be a contest between two different football philosophies, since the home team started the game with a 2-5-3 formation while the visitors instead opted for 3-5-2. Grilled clearly preferred using their divine (+5) ability to attack in the middle. Grilled took the lead 14 minutes into the game by 1 - 0, as Moey Xin Seng elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. Kalki Parvathaneni squirmed through their central defence after 22 minutes, increasing the lead to 2 - 0. The visitors' right side was dangerous today; Gyde van der Made made the home team's keeper look foolish as he easily scored to reduce the lead to 2 - 1 23 minutes into the match. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Grilled's Neeraj Muthyala increasing the lead to 3 - 1. Central attacks were the recipe of the day for Grilled, as they moved the ball from the wings to the middle with startling regularity. Grilled solidified their lead at the 28 minute mark, as Chan Ze Han dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 4 - 1. 4 - 1 was the halftime score. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 59 percent of the time.

As the 46 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution. Neeraj Muthyala reluctantly made way for Islom Davlatov on the pitch. The home crowd was silenced as Paco Gatinara Leñano took a successful penalty shot 50 minutes into the game, reducing the home lead to 4 - 2. Grilled players heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their wing attacks to the middle instead. Grilled's Kalki Parvathaneni saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 66 minutes. Müllenbach's right side looked dangerous after 67 minutes, as Jesús Cordero broke through. Massoud Dob continued to stifle them, however, as he made the save look easy. Müllenbach's Todor Smilkovski got himself booked for a foul. Cheers filled the stadium as Kalki Parvathaneni broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 5 - 2 to Grilled. Kalki Parvathaneni would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. Chu Xin Lee entered the game for Grilled as the match clock showed 85 minutes. As the match nears its end, the referee has deemed it appropriate to add 3 minutes as stoppage time. The match ends 5 - 2. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 59 percent.

Most important Grilled player was Chu Xin Lee. Gilbert Webb was a disappointment, however. The most dominating Müllenbach player was without a doubt Todor Smilkovski. Sergio Zozaya on the other hand, had a terrible day.
