The fans at the stadium today were roasting in the hot sun. It was a sunny day and the technical players could roll the ball around with ease. Those that had to chase after the ball found the weather less appealing, it especially stymied the game of Powerful and Quick players. The following players took the field: Caron - Giulivo, Brückmann - Zwartjes, Malagón, Vieytes, Carlier, van Bronkhorst - Geijtenbeek, Fleury, Zadelhoff.

They fielded: Dob - Webb, 中北 (Nakakita) - Künzler, Xin Seng, Mohammad Harun, Muthyala, Romijn - Mudaliar, Ze Han, Parvathaneni.

As the teams prepared to start the match, they both lined up in a 2-5-3 formation. The home side put themselves ahead 1 - 0 after 2 minutes courtesy of a breakthrough from Gernot Brückmann, who scored with a stunning volley following a cross from the right wing. The visitors didn't give in and, after 27 minutes, Kalki Parvathaneni got through the home side's central line of defence, rolling in the equaliser to make it 1 - 1. The terraces were silenced after 30 minutes when Grilled's Cyril Künzler put the guests ahead 1 - 2, following an attack on the right. A drive down the left side allowed Florus Romijn to get in close and score another goal for Grilled after 31 minutes, taking the score to 1 - 3. Halftime score was 1 - 3. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 60 percent of the time.

56 minutes into the game, Grilled worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch. 70 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Grilled substitution. Islom Davlatov came on for Vikram Mudaliar. After 71 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for Moey Xin Seng who increased Grilled's lead to 1 - 4. Just a few inches to the right, and the visitors could have had a goal 80 minutes into the match. Cyril Künzler surely wishes he could do that free kick over again. The referee announced 1 minute of stoppage time, giving fans a slim hope that their team could get one more attack in before this was all over. Islom Davlatov received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 89 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 1 - 5. The Grilled fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. The match ends 1 - 5. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 60 percent of possession.

The most dominating De Kootjes player was without a doubt Carlos Alberto Vieytes. Jolan Fleury on the other hand, had a terrible day. Grilled's best player was Islom Davlatov. Gilbert Webb turned in a dismal performance, however.
