Clear skies welcomed the 3072 spectators who had made their way to
FC São Tomé 18 Arena.

Jörg Hein Gerwers and
Sergio Pascau. The following players had been chosen:

Rodrigues,

Starters:

The teams both lined up their players in 3-5-2 formations. Grilled decided to play creatively at a extra-terrestrial level. The home keeper expected a move to the right, but
Bhavya Panigrahi surprised him with a free kick aimed the other way 15 minutes into the match. 0 - 1 for Grilled. The visitors'
Florus Romijn took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 25 minutes into the match. 0 - 2 for Grilled.
Agostinho Albano Duarte couldn't do anything to stop the technically gifted
Prokop Mottl as he dodged past on his way to scoring a wonderful goal for Grilled - 0 - 3! With 31 minutes played, Grilled put themselves up 0 - 4 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was
Kalki Parvathaneni. Grilled's
Bhavya Panigrahi got himself booked for a foul.
Agostinho Albano Duarte sailed high above the opponents as he headed in a corner kick from
Urbino Ribeiro Esteves after 33 minutes of play, making the score 1 - 4. 34 minutes into the game, Grilled seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a weak level of organisation. Grilled's
Bhavya Panigrahi set up a perfect opportunity for
Moey Xin Seng, but the latter failed to score. The crowd groaned when
Milan Ardalić, having maneuvered his way down the right, fired the ball just wide and missed a great opportunity to reduce the deficit for Tomé.
Faustino dos Santos of Tomé received a yellow card after 37 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. The visitors nearly scored again after 38 minutes, but a superb save by
Miguel Marco Topa kept
Bhavya Panigrahi's free kick out of the net. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 4. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 62 percent of possession.
During the break, Grilled's coach went through the team's tactics yet again, getting them up to passable organisation. Grilled's
Prokop Mottl excelled in some fine tricks that completely confused
Agostinho Albano Duarte - and the finish was no less spectacular - 1 - 5! 60 minutes into the match,
悠太 (Yuta) 中北 (Nakakita) came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. A drive down the left side allowed
José Luiz Velho to get in close and score another goal for Grilled after 63 minutes, taking the score to 1 - 6. 72 minutes in, Grilled appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only weak. A couple of inches to the right and
Urbino Ribeiro Esteves's free kick 73 minutes into the match would have resulted in the goal of the year for Tomé.
Kalki Parvathaneni increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 1 - 7. 75 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game.
Mohd Jafni Abdul Majid gave
Jérémy Tarin a quick hug as he left the field. As the 75 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution.
悠太 (Yuta) 中北 (Nakakita) reluctantly made way for
Chirag Thevar on the pitch. With 81 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed
José Luiz Velho of Grilled to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 1 - 8.
Florus Romijn's speed is always a threat when he gets a little room to move, and 84 minutes into the match was no different as he broke free of his man to send a delightful through ball to
Prokop Mottl who knocked it in for Grilled. 1 - 9! By then
Prokop Mottl had scored three goals - a hat trick! Tomé didn't give in and with 85 minutes played
Milan Ardalić was able to make the score 2 - 9 after an attack on the right. 89 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Grilled substitution.
Leonard Nguyen came on for
José Luiz Velho. As the match nears its end, the referee has deemed it appropriate to add 4 minutes as stoppage time.
Miguel Marco Topa got a fingertip on
Kalki Parvathaneni's shot from the left 90 minutes in, and managed to keep the visitors from going up another goal. The match ends 2 - 9. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 59 percent of the time.
Tomé's top performer was clearly
Celestino de Martins.
Franco Francisco Rodrigues was a disappointment, however.
Moey Xin Seng performed admirably for Grilled.
Eren Serpin on the other hand, had a terrible day.
