FC Bayern Singapore entered the field in a 5-4-1 formation. The visitors, Grilled Birds, chose to start the game with a 2-5-3 lineup. Singapore immediately set off using their passable skill at pressing their opponents. Grilled mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle, taking advantage of their divine (+2) level with that tactic. This was a good period for the visitors, with several opportunities to take the lead, particularly when Chan Ze Han" class="awayplayer">Chan Ze Han slipped through the defence on the right to come up alone against 立樹 (Tatsuki) 南野 (Minamino), but the home side's keeper showed his lightning reflexes. 21 minutes into the game, Prokop Mottl" class="awayplayer">Prokop Mottl had a great chance to put his team ahead, but his kick from the left went wide. Singapore nearly produced a goal as Mikhail Efremochkin set up Eoin Dempsey for a strike from a seemingly impossible angle. However he put the shot narrowly wide.
