Football 0 - 3 Grilled

iv id="matchReport"> The 18422 spectators at Olympic Lyons Park were in for an afternoon of sunshine. Stelian Herghelegiu was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Francisco Tourné and Frédéric Hain. The weather was sunny, which meant perfect conditions for technical players in both teams. However, it was also quite warm, which meant quick or physically strong players were drained faster and couldn't play their best game. The match took place on neutral ground. Starters: Park - Holm, Mohd Hazmi, Liang Chi, Chuan Yao, Cebreiros - Beraczka, Ravi, Sandmann, Lamont, Jensen -.

The following players took the field: Dob - Trung Quá, 中北 (Nakakita) - Künzler, Mudaliar, Ze Han, Muthyala, Xin Seng - Davlatov, Egan, Mohammad Harun.

Robbie Football Club fielded a 5-5-0 lineup. For Grilled Birds, the formation of choice was 2-5-3. Football took a extra-terrestrial creative approach on the field. Grilled clearly preferred using their magical ability to attack in the middle. Football were pushed back, and had many dangerous counterattacks. An impressive one came 15 minutes into the match, but Li Liang Chi narrowly missed the free kick attempt that was awarded as a result of a foul. Bilal Mohammad Harun" class="awayplayer">Bilal Mohammad Harun always provides an aerial threat at corners, and with 22 minutes gone, he demonstrated this, outjumping his marker, then letting out an anguished howl as his powerful header went narrowly wide. Vikram Mudaliar" class="awayplayer">Vikram Mudaliar of Grilled received a yellow card after 23 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Having contracted a nasty injury to his right foot, Li Liang Chi had no choice but to leave the pitch, 26 minutes into the match. Chow Rong Yao had already been warming up, and came on for Li Liang Chi. As Li Liang Chi exited the field, Alf Lamont volunteered to be the new set pieces taker. 31 minutes into the game, Hoàng Trung Quá almost gave the visitors the lead, as he clipped a delicate lob over the keeper, but the ball glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. 0 - 1 was the score with 39 minutes played, after Bernie Egan cut through the central defence and chipped home a goal for Grilled. Having taken a hard knock between his legs, Chow Rong Yao limped off the pitch in a reduced state of dignity. He could not continue, with 41 minutes on the clock, could this prove costly for his team? It was a critical moment for the team, as there were no substitutes on the bench for the injured player. Vikram Mudaliar" class="awayplayer">Vikram Mudaliar of Grilled took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 42 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 2. Football's Ignacio Cebreiros refused to leave the field despite hurting his back 43 minutes into the match. It was 0 - 2 at the break. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 60 percent of possession.

The Grilled players could smell victory in the air. Moey Xin Seng" class="awayplayer">Moey Xin Seng wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for Chu Xin Lee" class="awayplayer">Chu Xin Lee after 46 minutes. After 47 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave Hoàng Trung Quá a chance to increase the lead for Grilled, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 3. Grilled had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks. 55 minutes into the match, Cyril Künzler came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. The referee showed Football's Mohd Hafizi Mohd Hazmi the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. It emerged that Hoàng Trung Quá had hurt his right foot after 71 minutes, which led him to abandon the game. This gave Gilbert Webb" class="awayplayer">Gilbert Webb a chance to take to the field instead. The players were tired, but when the referee announced that there would be 4 minutes of added time they, nonetheless, welcomed the extra opportunity to make an impact. Cyril Künzler was, after 91 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper Ritchie Park made the save. The match ends 0 - 3. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 61 percent.

Frank Sandmann performed admirably for Football. Liew Chuan Yao turned in a dismal performance, however. The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt Islom Davlatov. Vikram Mudaliar" class="awayplayer">Vikram Mudaliar on the other hand, had a terrible day.
