Grilled 0 - 3 Payoh

iv id="matchReport"> It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 71009 that came out to Olympic Lyons Park. Kasper Tackmann was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Antonio Bomben and Nicola Borovas. It was a sunny day and the technical players could roll the ball around with ease. Those that had to chase after the ball found the weather less appealing, it especially stymied the game of Powerful and Quick players. The match took place on neutral ground. Lineup: Dob - Trung Quá, Webb - Xin Seng, Mudaliar, Ze Han, Parvathaneni, Davlatov - Muthyala, Egan, Mohammad Harun.

They fielded: Stanoiev - Abbeloos, Morgado, bin Hj Erywan, Pukl - McCandless, 修賢 (Xiuxian), Riihiniemi, Usik - Chun Kwang, Tong Leong.

It was to be a contest between two different football philosophies, since the home team started the game with a 2-5-3 formation while the visitors instead opted for 4-4-2. Payoh clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could, taking advantage of their magical level with that tactic. Payoh almost scored after a counterattack 31 minutes into the match, but 馬 (Ma) 修賢 (Xiuxian) took a shot from the left that landed harmlessly in the side of the net. Grilled's Neeraj Muthyala was shown a yellow card after 43 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Halftime score was 0 - 0. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 58 percent of the ball.

Moey Xin Seng" class="homeplayer">Moey Xin Seng would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. Chu Xin Lee" class="homeplayer">Chu Xin Lee entered the game for Grilled as the match clock showed 46 minutes. The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of Payoh's Kong Chun Kwang after 49 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 0 - 1 lead. Payoh showed their counterattack skill 53 minutes into the match by breaking through the middle, with Eleazar Morgado scoring uncontested for 0 - 2. Payoh were able to mount several counterattacks, such as the impressive one after 55 minutes, but Oleg Usik lofted a free kick over the crossbar. With 66 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed Oleg Usik of Payoh to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 3. It was announced by the referee that he estimated stoppage time to be around 1 minute. This meant there could still be an extra attack or two left in the match! The match ends 0 - 3. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 56 percent.

Most important Grilled player was Bernie Egan. On the other hand, Hoàng Trung Quá's play was disheartening. Payoh's best player was Tan Tong Leong. However, Azrinuddin bin Hj Erywan made a disastrous appearance.
