Gahan 0 - 8 Grilled

iv id="matchReport"> The 2609 spectators at Rose Bowl were in for an afternoon of sunshine. Alojzije Jurišić was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Hans Nõmmeots and Juha Granat. It was a sunny day and the technical players could roll the ball around with ease. Those that had to chase after the ball found the weather less appealing, it especially stymied the game of Powerful and Quick players. They fielded: Isecke - van Stolberg, Forsby, Coronado, Sabak, Haverschmidt - Kammer, Garceau, Reiprich, van Agtmaal - Băduţ.

The following players had been chosen: Seng - van der Ban, bin Ahmad, Tarin - Xin Lee, Xin Seng, Mudaliar, Ze Han, Parvathaneni - Velho, Wan Kang.

It was to be a contest between two different football philosophies, since the home team started the game with a 5-4-1 formation while the visitors instead opted for 3-5-2. Grilled mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle, taking advantage of their world class level with that tactic. 1 minutes into the game, Gahan wanted to bring some new energy to their game. Ionuţ Băduţ gave Heidr Roushdy a quick hug as he left the field. After 2 minutes, Grilled's Vikram Mudaliar" class="awayplayer">Vikram Mudaliar swiftly ran past Servando Coronado and nutmegged the keeper! 0 - 1. After 7 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for José Luiz Velho who increased Grilled's lead to 0 - 2. After 21 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave Remco van der Ban a chance to increase the lead for Grilled, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 3. 23 minutes into the match, Moey Xin Seng" class="awayplayer">Moey Xin Seng came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. The referee showed Gahan's Erik Forsby the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Central attacks were the recipe of the day for Grilled, as they moved the ball from the wings to the middle with startling regularity. After 31 minutes, Grilled's Chan Ze Han" class="awayplayer">Chan Ze Han burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 4. It was obvious that team Grilled had instructions to attack in the middle instead of on the wings. Chan Ze Han" class="awayplayer">Chan Ze Han received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 36 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 5. The Grilled fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. 0 - 5 was the score after the first half. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 95 percent of possession.

Content with how the game was proceeding, the Grilled coach let Prokop Mottl" class="awayplayer">Prokop Mottl replace José Luiz Velho after 46 minutes. The coach of Grilled was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 46 minutes, Chirag Thevar" class="awayplayer">Chirag Thevar came on for Rashid bin Ahmad. Grilled were determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up centrally. The visitors' Chu Xin Lee" class="awayplayer">Chu Xin Lee took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 51 minutes into the match. 0 - 6 for Grilled. The referee signalled a penalty 72 minutes into the game following an offence which looked like it was outside the box. Jérémy Tarin knocked it home to make the score 0 - 7. 79 minutes into the game, Grilled had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to passable. Leong Wan Kang wanted to play on, but the Grilled coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 80 minutes into the game by Dante Tran" class="awayplayer">Dante Tran. 83 minutes in, Grilled appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only weak. 88 minutes into the match, a typically brave header by Moey Xin Seng" class="awayplayer">Moey Xin Seng from Chu Xin Lee" class="awayplayer">Chu Xin Lee's cross looped just over the opposing goalkeeper's desperate reach. Goal for Grilled, making the score 0 - 8. The referee announced 2 minutes of stoppage time, giving fans a slim hope that their team could get one more attack in before this was all over. The match ends 0 - 8. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 94 percent of the ball.

Gahan's best player was Maurice Malte Isecke. Heidr Roushdy turned in a dismal performance, however. The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt Moey Xin Seng" class="awayplayer">Moey Xin Seng. Remco van der Ban was a disappointment, however.
