Changi 6 - 2 Grilled

iv id="matchReport"> 59230 spectators had come to Changi Genius Arena this cloudy day. Ovidiu Muresan was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Krojan Keçi and Ralph Elisabeth. The following players had been chosen: Autet - Qiang Chuan, Selestrin, Hertl - Soroa, Xu, Poon, Yau How, Kim Yun - Goldschmidt, Lecoq.

Lineup: Batâr - 中北 (Nakakita), Trung Quá - Künzler, Muthyala, Xin Lee, Saliman, Romijn - Xin Seng, Davlatov, Parvathaneni.

Changi Genius started the game in a 3-5-2 formation, whereas Grilled Birds lined up in a 2-5-3 formation. With 2 minutes played, the home side managed to get a 1 - 0 lead as Chua Yau How flipped the ball in after a cross from the right. After 19 minutes, Chua Yau How put Changi ahead 2 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. Grilled had a fair chance to reply after 23 minutes due to some fine moves down the left, but in the end Cyril Künzler was slow to keep up with the play and was unable to make it into the penalty box to apply a finish. A well placed corner kick from Cyril Künzler was followed by Neeraj Muthyala's hard but accurate header. The well executed routine resulted in a goal for Grilled, the score now 2 - 1. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Changi's Sun Qiang Chuan increasing the lead to 3 - 1. 3 - 1 was the halftime score. Neither team were able to dominate possession this half.

Wee Kim Yun wanted to play on, but the Changi coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 60 minutes into the game by Maxime Deschamps. The Changi coach was visibly pleased with the score so far, but still ordered a few tactical changes 60 minutes into the game. With 60 minutes played, Changi put themselves up 4 - 1 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to Mathieu Lecoq, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. Changi's Mathieu Lecoq increased the lead to 5 - 1, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 73 minutes. 81 minutes into the match, Grilled replied and reduced the lead to 5 - 2. Mohammad Ramli Saliman scored on a marvellous cross pass coming in from the left. Things were deteriorating for the away team as Changi scored another to make it 6 - 2 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for Manuel Soroa after 83 minutes. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Grilled's Islom Davlatov was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 89 minutes. 田 (Tian) 勇航 (Yonghang) was given a chance to change things around. The players were tired, but when the referee announced that there would be 2 minutes of added time they, nonetheless, welcomed the extra opportunity to make an impact. The match ends 6 - 2. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 52 percent.

Most important Changi player was Agustí Autet. Sun Qiang Chuan was a disappointment, however. Neeraj Muthyala performed admirably for Grilled. Hoàng Trung Quá on the other hand, had a terrible day.
