Singapore 3 - 2 Grilled

iv id="matchReport"> Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and Camp Nou Singapore saw a crowd turnout of 63091. Frithjof Vierthaler was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Ivo Gameiro and Xavier Rioult. Singapore decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. The following players had been chosen: Crean - Diletti, Ávila, Argappio - Hui Ah, Alluri, Kim Feng, Niamuddin, Tze Seng - 寬志 (Kuanzhi), Ove.

Grilled had chosen a strategic 2-5-3 formation. The following players took the field: Tian Han - 福泉 (Fuquan) , Trung Quá - Prabhu, Lee Hao, 入江 (Irie), Leong Kum, Aik Jia - Isufi, Meyer, 勇航 (Yonghang).

Grilled used their divine ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings. The home side put themselves ahead 1 - 0 after 5 minutes courtesy of a breakthrough from V. Alluri, who scored with a stunning volley following a cross from the right wing. Grilled players heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their wing attacks to the middle instead. The visitors didn't give in and, after 12 minutes, C. Meyer got through the home side's central line of defence, rolling in the equaliser to make it 1 - 1. Singapore broke through on the left 28 minutes into the game, with H. Kim Feng firing in from an acute angle to give the home side a 2 - 1 lead. C. Meyer tied the game at 2 - 2 after 34 minutes, when he converted an incredible pass from the right. 2 - 2 was the score after the first half. Possession in this half belonged to Singapore, who controlled the ball 52 percent of the time.

After 70 minutes, the Singapore coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving O. Argappio off the field. G. Weidl took his place. 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) had a good try after 72 minutes, coming in on a fine move from the left, but the ball went wide. H. Trung Quá would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. Z. Jing Wei entered the game for Grilled as the match clock showed 75 minutes. After 77 minutes, J. Ávila came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 3 - 2, giving Singapore the lead. The match ends 3 - 2. Singapore claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 52 percent.

The most dominating Singapore player was without a doubt J. Ove. M. Tze Seng was a disappointment, however. Most important Grilled player was L. Lee Hao. Z. Jing Wei turned in a dismal performance, however.
