Accietto refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 27 minutes. A mistake by the home side's central defence after 30 minutes allowed L. Wan Kang to score for Grilled. The scoreboard now read 2 - 3. After 31 minutes, C. Boon Hao made a dash down the middle past the away team's defenders to score the goal that made it 3 - 3. The visiting N. Muthyala was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 33 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 3 - 4 was the score. After 38 minutes, Grilled's M. bin Mohd Kassim burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 3 - 5. Halftime score was 3 - 5. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 64 percent of the ball.

There was concern in the stands when, at the 55 minute mark, Expats's K. Ah Shi hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch. 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) was, after 64 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper A. Reguart made the save. After 71 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for N. Muthyala who increased Grilled's lead to 3 - 6. That was his third goal of the match - a hat trick for N. Muthyala. R. Isufi, who often relies on his speed, had a rotten day on the drenched grass. N. Muthyala showed his inexperience when he failed to anticipate the bounce of a high ball, allowing Expats's T. Tuleja to take advantage and place a shot into the bottom corner of the goal. 4 - 6. Grilled increased their lead after 84 minutes when 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) broke through on the right, upping the score to 4 - 7, much to the home crowd's dismay. Grilled had most of the ball, with 65 percent of possession.

Expats's best player was K. Ah Shi. T. Tuleja on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important Grilled player was M. bin Mohd Kassim. On the other hand, R. Isufi's play was disheartening. The match ends 4 - 7.
