Lennard Velthoen enjoyed the sunshine and demonstrated his stunning technique over and over again. 33 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as Lee Lee Hao broke through, making the score 4 - 1 for Grilled. Confident in their lead, Grilled's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. Grilled increased the lead as Clark Won struck to make the score 5 - 1 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. Halftime score was 5 - 1. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 76 percent of possession.

Cheers filled the stadium as 凌 (Ling) 福泉 (Fuquan) broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 6 - 1 to Grilled. Things were deteriorating for the away team as Grilled scored another to make it 7 - 1 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for Gene Filippone after 74 minutes. Low Aik Jia found it hard to catch his breath today in the stifling heat. After 82 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and Wong Ping Shun gave the Grilled supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 8 - 1. Grilled put themselves up 9 - 1 when Lee Lee Hao broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake.
