Chemistry 2 - 5 Grilled

iv id="matchReport"> The crowd of 55219 turning up at HitMen Arena today were greeted with some nasty showers of rain. Michael Selstad was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Zoltan Meran and Stefan Gustavsson. The match took place on neutral ground. Chemistry had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. Lineup: Petretta - Veiderma, Ornaghi, Georges, Villalaúd - Kachmaryk, Yau Eng, Kim Hock, Leung - Lai Jing, Garbarino.

Grilled started off with a 2-5-3 lineup. The following players took the field: Tian Han - bin Ahmad, 福泉 (Fuquan) - Meyer, Won, Isufi, Prabhu, Lee Hao - bin Mohd Kassim, 勇航 (Yonghang) , Ying Lee.

Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of Chemistry. Grilled used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings. The home side put themselves ahead 1 - 0 after 6 minutes courtesy of a breakthrough from P. Kim Hock, who scored with a stunning volley following a cross from the right wing. 21 minutes into the match the visitors levelled the score at 1 - 1 as C. Meyer struck home from a rebound off the crossbar, following a shot from the right. It was a bad day for the usually speedy A. Veiderma. The mud seemed to slow him down. C. Yau Eng's lack of experience almost gave Grilled a goal after 26 minutes, but the shot went right into the keeper's arms. Making his way up the middle 33 minutes into the match, F. Garbarino almost managed to squeeze a goal past the visitors' keeper, but the alert W. Tian Han blocked it to keep the score level. Central attacks were the recipe of the day for Grilled, as they moved the ball from the wings to the middle with startling regularity. Halftime score was 1 - 1. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 61 percent of possession.

46 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game. R. bin Ahmad gave G. Filippone a quick hug as he left the field. 49 minutes into the game, M. bin Mohd Kassim almost gave the visitors the lead, as he clipped a delicate lob over the keeper, but the ball glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. 50 minutes into the game Chemistry managed a counterattack, but H. Georges took a soft shot from the left flank that was easy prey for the alert keeper. Grilled took the lead 66 minutes into the game, making the score 1 - 2 after some elegant movement down the middle. C. Ying Lee was the scorer. L. Lee Hao received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 75 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 1 - 3. The Grilled fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. After 76 minutes, Chemistry sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached A. Villalaúd, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 2 - 3. After 77 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave C. Ying Lee a chance to increase the lead for Grilled, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 2 - 4. The home crowd was not impressed when C. Won came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 80 minutes. Grilled were now up 2 - 5. Grilled's 凌. 福泉 (Fuquan) was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 81 minutes. The coach of Grilled was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 89 minutes, W. Ping Shun came on for L. Lee Hao. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 66 percent of the ball.

Chemistry's best player was F. Garbarino. However, A. Veiderma made a disastrous appearance. 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) performed admirably for Grilled. R. Isufi on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 2 - 5.
