Ying Lee of Grilled was able to make an impressive rush past the sluggish A. Warmbier, which resulted in a goal making the score 1 - 2. L. Aik Jia received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 35 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 1 - 3. The Grilled fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. By now, the players in Grilled felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 3. Grilled had most of the ball, with 55 percent of possession.

Mucho supporters cheered as good work down the right got the ball to R. Tarlow who reduced the visitors' lead after 52 minutes to 2 - 3. After 54 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave W. Shun An a chance to increase the lead for Grilled, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 2 - 4. The home team's supporters got excited again when D. Cook broke through the visitors' central defence and caught their keeper off guard, making it 3 - 4. Grilled's 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 74 minutes into the match.
